uga_falcons_braves
There were a couple that threw me, but Houston's pick was strange because I hadn't really heard anything about the kid until last night. He may turn out to be good, but right now it's sort of a mystery pick given the fact that Perryman was still on the board at that time. I thought they would move quickly to replace Andre. The Real Tony G.
Laken Tomlinson to Detroit. Thought he'd be there late 2nd/early 3rd.
Clark Kent™
Denver trading up for Shane Ray is a head scratcher to me. I don't see him as a great 3-4 OLB. And i didn't think a team would actually trade up for the guy. Taking him is one thing but trading up?Carolina taking Shaq Thompson was a head scratcher as well. Already stacked at LBThe Colts taking Dorsett was a big time luxury pick. Already stacked at WR and 2 legitimate threats at TE and you take a WR in the very first round? Wade Phillips 34 usually has more should-be-a-43DE-type OLBs than usual, like Ware in Dallas and Williams in Houston. He's gonna be their 3rd rusher, and that complimentary role suits him better than being the man like he would've been here.Shaq to Carolina was one of the most annoying picks to me because he's gonna learn from Thomas Davis and be a pest on that defense.I really wanted Dorsett in the second, but I don't see what you can possibly do against the Colts now with two burners like that on the outside who can actually play. vel
I agree with the first two. Laken makes no sense. They have 3 OGs now. Colts have a studly WR core, but what about the defense? Carolina still has no LT or WR after Benjamin. Can't ignore your QB. I don't get the Saints pick. Was Armstead bad last year? He's only a third year player and was good so far I thought. You have Strief at RT.
GleasonForever!
I think the Colts messed up big time. I watched that game against the Patriots and Blount could not be stopped up the middle. Malcom Brown (who went to the patriots) Jordan Phillips and Eddie Goldman were still on the board and they pick Dorsett? Have fun losing by 20 again
Dirtybird#11
Ogbehui to Cincy got me. Also Armstead to 9ers

And i don't get trading up for a 3rd rusher. Iono maybe its just me, but i think they should have just stayed pat if they wanted him or gone in a different direction. Shaq will be good at some point, but like Vel mentioned they need some O line and a WR. You could have said the same thing about them last year. They already had one of the best offenses in the league and then added Andre Johnson and a better run game. As of now Dorsett is probably 4th on the depth chart behind Hilton, Andre, Moncrief and not to mention Dwayne Allen and Fleener.

If they feel like an extra pass rusher, especially one that is a brain-fart from being a top 10 pick, is what they could use the most then I can't blame them.Agreed, it was a BPA/luxury pick.I forgot about Andre signing there. Yeah, that's a little overkill.
Macintez
The Jets FO are idiots... They haven't had a competent offense in years and their defense was good enough to where they didn't have to invest another first rounder on a lineman. I don't care if he was the BPA, that pick was just ********. This is why I can't stand pure defensive minded coaches. They know their offense can't manage a TD a quarter but yet and still they go defense. Just stupid.

ZoneOne01
Colts and Phillip Dorsett. I'm beginning to think Grigson doesn't care about having a good defense. There was a ton of pissed off Colts fans last night because even they were expecting a defensive player.

Clark Kent™
Where does Kevin White play with Decker and Marhsall ? Lol inside ?Well Marshall and Decker both have experience in the slot not to mention Marshall is getting up their in age anyways.I would have taken Andrus Peat if i was them though. D'Brickishaw Ferguson is on the last year of his contract and he is 31. Made perfect sense.

AndySG
Flowers to the giants. I'm not doubting that they could do with upgrading their line, but is he that much better than the guys they could get in the second?

JC Falcon
I think the Thompson pick was Carolina's plan for life after Davis. No way of knowing how many good years he has left in those knees?Probably true, but kind of a tough spot for Carolina to make Davis announce the pick of his replacement. NFL is a business, but that's tough. Guess that's why he won NFL man of the year award and didn't blow up about the pick.

ZoneOne01
I understand the Jets taking Leonard Williams. First, he was the best player on their board. Their GM is all about best player available. Also, you can also never have enough defensive lineman. I know that concept is foreign too many Falcon fans but it's the truth. You can never have enough. That defense is going to be beastly. You're not going to be able to run on them and passing the ball will be difficult.
Psychic Gibbon
I was shocked by the Redskins taking Scherff, not in the, "What are they thinking?!" sense but in the, "Holy **** they made a pick that makes sense!" type of way. After that it was the Bengals taking Ogbuehi. I was not expecting him to go on day 1 due to his injury, something that may prevent him from playing in his rookie season, though I suppose the Bengals saw it as a chance too good to pass up with a top flight LT talent being available in the second half of the 1st.
