So Here's The Deal From What's Going On

Recommended Posts

I was thinking if we went up to 5 we'd trade our 3rd rounder this year. That would probably be worth more to the Skins than next year's 2nd.

yeah, I would rather give up this year's 3rd rounder - we could maybe make that up this year by trading down in the 2nd.

1. Winston

2. Mariota

3. Cooper/Williams

4. Cooper/Williams

5. Trade next year's 2nd and #8 to the Redskins who want to move out of #5. Falcons take Dante Fowler, Jr.

Yeah been thinking that unless the 'Skins want Fowler they'd be a great team to target as a trade partner.

I don't know offhand who their target would be @ 8, Dupree / Beasley whichever is still there for them I'd imagine.

It's already been reported that they do. It's right now believed that if Fowler makes it past Jacksonville, then there won't be a defensive prospect off the board until 5, with the Redskins taking Fowler.

This is my wet dream scenario.

QB

QB

WR

WR

Fowler

Beasely

Shelton

Williams

The Bears are the real wild card, but I could see it happening. It would be like last year, where arguably the best player falls right in our laps.biggrin.png

I can still dream for now. Don't hate. angry.png

Thanks, I just saw this, could be smoke but it makes sense for them after losing Orakpo.

NBC4's Dianna Marie Russini has been told the Redskins are "planning and hoping" to take Florida OLB Dante Fowler at No. 5 overall.
It's widely been assumed the Redskins and new GM Scot McCloughan want to trade back. But they also want an edge rusher to complement Ryan Kerrigan, and don't want to miss out on both Fowler and Clemson's Vic Beasley. SI's Peter King also said Monday he can't see the Redskins passing on Fowler at No. 5. Apr 30 - 8:32 AM

I think Beasley has the best speed, burst, and quickness of all the edge rushers.

But Gregory has the length, the fluid hips, long arms, ability to get around the edge AND stop the run, etc...

I'd be very happy with either one.

I don't want Fowler but Gregory is the only one who would piss me off if he became a Falcon. He's nothing more than another Dion Jordan.
