Snafu
Leonard Williams only year playing DT was when he was a true freshman. He started 9 Games and recorded 8 sacks, 64 tackles, 13 TFL, 4 Batted balls, 2 fumble recoveries and 1 Int.I know he can play both DE and DT, but it looks to me like he would be extremely well suited for DT in our scheme. PrimitiveJN
Yes many on here were drooling at the thought of him and Hageman wreaking havoc in the middle for many years to come.

I just didn't realize that he actually played DT in college ball for a year (Which was an amazing year for him at that).
MSalmon
Yup. He's a perfect fit for the 43under as the base DE...better than TJax because of his pass rush ability. He can also move inside next to Hageman on passing downs and give us a "twin tower" look
AndySG
It would certainly be interesting. Still think we need to improve at pass rush.

Hashbrown3
If we get Irvin, I say we go all out for Williams the nasty beast.
paulitik
I'd love him. I was hesitant, only because we need a pure edge rusher. If we grab Irvin, then Williams would be an amazing pick. The issue is, we have to give up draft picks to get Williams, and to trade for Irvin. That's a lot to give up, but we are getting a lot in return. The good passrusher and the best player in the draft.

The good passrusher and the best player in the draft. Yeah, I know. But you have to admit that both scenarios would be pretty sweet really. I would love to see Williams lining up next to hags and then jumping over to DE at a moments notice. Offensive tackles would have to change their underwear every series. We may be able to get something for Babs and Soliai. The Bears could be interested in Soliai. Although, I would prefer to keep a big fatty on the line. Lornoth
Willy to Atlanty. But seriously I wouldn't complain about our draft no matter what happened, if we landed Williams. He's going to be a beast for somebody, no matter (to a degree) where they play him.
