ket222
So it looks like our two trade up scenarios are getting Williams or fowler. - how far up would we have to trade (what position) to get either and what would we have to give up? could we just give up a 3rd rounder to go up to the 4 position? or could we only afford to go up to 5 for a third rounder? - how would Hageman fit with Williams, and who would be our DEs? would it be ok to have mediocre DEs but a great defensive line? could Hageman be a DE? - how much better is fowler at rushing the passer than beasely and the other DEs? FalconOdense
According to this we could have Ray in the second. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/04/28/as-shane-rays-stock-plummets-talk-that-he-could-fall-to-round-4/

The Real Tony G.
I think Hageman will start at LE this year, with Clayborn and possibly Goodman rotating in with him. As of now, Schofield and Beerman form a decent combo at LEO and will play a lot better than expected imo.A line of Hageman-Williams-Soliai is NOT getting ran on. GleasonForever!
Any answer you get is going to be a guess. Do people fail to realize that NO ONE knows the answers to these futuristic question yall put on here? It's like asking, Sunday is 5 days away...What will the preacher preach about? You think it will be from the book of Amos or the book of Luke? Do you think he will wear a black suit or do you think the preacher will wear a robe? We don't know until Thursday lol

The Real Tony G. Let's just hope this argument is real and not hypothetical come Thursday

weezy01212
I would love it if we took Williams, especially if he has the ability to be comparable to JJ Watt like some people are saying.Would anybody really care if we gave up some picks for that caliber of player. Guest King Jigsaw
Who are our DEs? How about.. DEs Nuts.GOTEEM!People aren't correctly asking questions which only lends to the confusion more. Saying that drafting Williams could hinder the opportunity to improve the production from our "DEs" only shows that you don't understand our defense. The LEO isn't a 4-3 where you have two DTs and two DEs and call it a day like Carolina. The front seven is a lot closer to that of a 3-4 because it requires three big-bodied DT-types like Hagemen, Soliai, TJax, etc. Your LBs are similar to a 4-3 with the exception of the LEO who plays like a wide-9 or rush OLB with his hand in the dirt. LEO- Biermann, SchofieldDT- Hageman, T. JacksonNT- SoliaiDE- L. Williams, Babineaux
Guest King Jigsaw
Yes actually you do6'6 is taller than 6'4And 305 is heavier than 304That almost makes sense, but you have to figure that for a man to be two inches shorter but weigh just the same, he would actually have to be a bit bigger. Guest King Jigsaw
What about Clayborn? Also, the thought of Biermann starting turns my stomach. Just giving examples. Posting depth charts before TC is like posting records before the season starts. Tell that second line to the people who would rather take a RB than a LEO in the first.. Guest King Jigsaw
6'6 and 305 is not the same as 6'4 304 he is 2 inches shorter and a pound lighterThat's the point that I believe you're missing. For two people to be separated by two inches but only one pound, reason would stand to show that the shorter man would be a bit bulkier because he's got as much weight packed onto a smaller frame. You see this often in combat sports.

Ridder Me This
Trade back in the 2nd round with NE (#42 and #250 for #64, #96, #101)...Select the BPA out of Gregory / Ray / Harold / Orchard / Diggy / Mauldin / Flowers / Hunter**assumes giving up a 3rd to move up for Williams, so trade back nets us our 3rd back and an additional 4th... The Real Tony G.
reed? What are you talking about a 3-4? You know we probably running a 4-3 more this yearReed is playing SAM.I'm talking about the 4-3 under, which does not factor in the LEO in regards to traditional DE gap assignments. So, when it comes to our D-line and run defense, the 5T, 3T, and 1T are all that really matter. Hence the reason I only mentioned those positions.
