SaintsBountyBowlChamps
That would be a dominating Oline. Especially with Matthews and Scherff anchoring that left side this would be brick wall. Scherff is an absolute road grader. He would complete this line. What ever no name RB Shanahan places back there would be destined to succeed. Not saying I would take him over Fowler,Ray,or Beasley but if he were the pick there would be no complaints from me. Clark Kent™
If Beasley is gone then i'm on board for trading back first or taking Scherff.
Lornoth
To be honest I'm over Baker. I'd rather see Holmes/Schraeder at RT.
Farmer2
He's my 2nd choice behind Beasley assuming we are staying put at 8.

hjerry
All three are a pile of poop. But at least Baker has shown he can be at least average to slightly above average at his best. We have seen enough of the other two to know they are backups at best. Who knows, maybe playing next to Asamoah,Matthews, and Scherff would elevate him to the beast he was suppose to be.....Lol
LookAboutFalcon
Serious question....why isn't there one?We can't hurt people's feelings in today's society. Also, I wasn't on board with Schreff but now with the recent Shane Ray news I'm on board. Jake Matthews and Schreff on the left side yes please.
likeriver
I always thought of Baker as good, only he's injury prone. If he stays healthy then I'd consider him a great benefit to the line.

Schraeder's been pretty good... I dunno. Not saying we couldn't do better, I just really don't want to see Baker starting on our team anymore. He's a poor fit for RT too. Knight of God
Asamoah on the left?Yeah, I don't see why not. Athletic, quick feet, and strong. This is more zone blocking so I doubt he's pushed around.
Herr Doktor
Baker cannot play right tackle. Schraeder is a superior fit as of this moment. Konz has his last shot this season. Holmes is your back up left tackle if Baker is cut June 1.
FalconFanSince1970
I want Sackmaker's cap space. Sign Joe Barksdale and draft a LG in the second or third.
CrimsonFalcon
GurlieToAtlantieStay on topic there cupcake...I'm all for moving out of 8 to say 10 and taking Scherff if Beasley or Fowler aren't there.

JBridgez
Matthews-Marpet-Hawley-Asamoah-SchraederBeast lineThis a a great offensive line, could be even better with Hawley switched out for (Cameron Irving/Grassu)
etherdome
Matthews, Fisher, Hawley, Asamoah, Schraeder Jake Fisher would require us to use our second round pick (instead of a first). We would get a LG that is just as nasty as Scherff, with a little more mobility. BS is more of a power player than Fisher. However, the ZBS does not require bulldozers to open running lanes. There will be a few OT/OG types at the top of round two.
Dirtybird56
We have a fantastic choice of top OG's at our 2nd round pick that would be great fits in a ZBSMarpet, Fisher, Cann would all be great selections
Sheldon Cooper
LT-Baker, Schraeder, HolmesLG-Scherff, PersonOC-Hawley, StoneRG-Asamoah, PersonRT-Matthews, Schraeder, HolmesScherff is such a great drive blocker he would be a mauler at LG in the run game. He showed the athleticism at the combine to run but he needs work hitting moving targets in the open field. He is straight linish and lacks lateral agility. That is why I see him as a great LG but a poor OT, even RT. Konz is a weak push over which is why I cant see him at OG even as the primary back up and the signing of Mike Person seems they dont either. Person could be here to push Holmes too. I think Hawley and Stone are good fits. Asamoah and Baker if healthy are good fits. Matthews is perfect for any scheme, and will be back at LT as soon as Baker proves dis-able I mean unable. ryanadonis
Wow does this fan base want this team to be losers? Baker starting? REALLY? Asamoah at LG? WTF????? Injury Prone Hawley at Center? No shocker there. Matthews at RT? Ummmmm......... Why? Holmes at RT???? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. Poor Mike Smith has brain washed this fan base, its so pathetic. No wonder this team and fan base can't get over the hump of success. Jake Matthews deserves the LT spot. LG spot is open competition and I think they will bring in a rookie or FA to compete for that spot. C position is still up for grabs. Hawley is not that good nor that HEALTHY. RG spot is Asamoah. RT is open for competition with Schreader leading the way vs a Rookie or FA. There will be a lot more transition to this offensive line than the ####### Mike Smith put on the field the past couple of years.
