1989Fan
IMO the only players worth moving up for in this draft is L. Williams and A. Cooper. I hope we dont give up a bunch to go for Fowler. If it can be done for a 3rd or something, fine, but please dont give what it takes to go up to 3 for him.
Halsey.
What if they trade up and he's...not that good?Just stay at 8 or trade down. I wouldn't want them making an aggressive trade up for any player in the Draft. Maybe a trade that only involves one 4th rounder or later, but not anything more than that. DoYouSeeWhatHappensLarry
Jesus Christ I hate the football media sometimes.D. Led writes a (tremendously poorly written/edited) column about how TD trades up at some point every year. HE WRITES THIS COLUMN EVERY YEAR.Somehow, this turns into a rumor?D. Led is comfortably the worst beat writer I've ever seen, regardless of sport. I don't understand how he still has a job...
Maltese Falcon
No way Q risks getting his first head coaching tenure off to a rocky start by trading away a bunch of draft picks for 1 player who may or may not be mediocre in the NFL. If he does this, then Fowler or Williams must surely be a SURE THING in his eyes. But I thought Clowney was too last year. Again, it's that time of the week: SMOKESCREEN for the Saints to think we are more focused on Fowler than Beasley, who they're in love with....ALLEGEDLY. nbostp
Ugh I hope not. Giving away picks/depth is the last thing this team needs to do.

paulitik
i'd rather trade back for Ray or Gregory than trade up for Fowler. My best case scenario is that we stay put for Beasley.
KRUNKuno
I guarantee that we arent trading up from pick 8.
1989Fan
Quinn just set the league on fire w a defense made up of primarily mid-late round guys. Dont think he will feel he needs to give away picks for a certain guy to make the D work. Especially since we werent willing to get into bidding wars for free agents on D. jeffro2000
I wouldn't like it. Fowler has a high floor because I think he can always play LB and be good at that. There is no guarantee that he will be a good Pass rusher though. Obviously no guarantees in the draft about anyone, but I believe we can stay at 8 and get a good pass rusher. I prefer not to trade up for anyone, not a knock on Fowler. Edited April 27, 2015 by jeffro2000
FentayeJones
If the Jags pick Cooper at 3, I can see Fowler falling to at least 5. If he falls to 5 think it is very likely we will move to for Fowler. TD said in the presser that the first three picks will determine if they make a play to trade up. JDaveG
Quinn coached Fowler. If he wants him, I'm okay with getting him. If he's okay moving up for him, then I am too.But I'd bet that precisely because Quinn coached Fowler, this isn't likely. Most draft pundits seem to think he's the best pass rusher in the draft, but not a few have said he has holes in his game and a high bust factor. Remember when everyone assumed we'd get Amobi Okoye because Petrino coached him?Remember when we didn't? Sometimes familiarity isn't a plus for the prospective draft pick. texasfalconfan
We need to have options so I'm fine wig all of the rumors, means we either set up deals pending on certain players or we are confusing everyone with who we want
LookAboutFalcon
D-led should have written a column trading up for Todd Gurley. He would have gotten a ton of praise on this board.
