FalconOdense
APMany consider Southern Cal defensive lineman Leonard Williams the best defensive player in the 2015 NFL Draft, if not the entire class. So the chances of his falling to the eighth pick are slim, but he already has a relationship with Falcons coach Dan Quinn prior to his pre-draft visit there.Dan Quinn is a great guy, Williams told Coley Harvey of ESPN.com. I almost forgot he was the head coach for a minute because he recruited me out of high school. He was the defensive line coach [and defensive coordinator] with the Florida Gators. Me and Dan Quinn, we have a great relationship just from the past. Weve always kept in touch. It was a great visit with those guys.Of course, that visit might also be in vain, unless the Falcons are looking to make a move up, as many think Williams will be the first non-quarterback taken. The Falcons could certainly use a building block such as Williams as they try to remake a shabby defense, and Quinn wouldnt have needed background with him to know that. An inside rusher would allow them to do more, and perhaps get away with guys such as free agent pickups Adrian Clayborn and OBrien Schofield. If he falls to eighth, it seems like a no-brainer pick for them, despite their need for edge rushers (which has existed for a few years now). Sponge
He is the best player in this draft by far, and better than Clowney imo.
AtlantaFanatic
Although I'm on record saying no more DT's, this guy is too dominant to pass up on. We could cut Soliai after June 1st.
Halsey.
The idea of Williams sounds so much more appealing than...235lb pot smoker or 245lb pass rushing specialist.

Sponge
Although I'm against trading up, would have to seriously consider it if he was available @ 5.
JJC28
Day 1 starter move him where you want him on the line . But i dont want to wast any picks to move.
Jesus
It is remotely possible he falls to us.
caver50
If he was available at 8 i wouldn't hesitate.
Tribal Chief
Man I would love to have him. Certainly makes up for missing on Beasley if he doesn't drop himself.
Francis York Morgan
If he's there past the Raiders pick, I'd be totally fine with us considering a trade up. Quinn isn't married to his scheme, he'll make the players work. Williams forces other teams to scheme around him. He did a lot of tackle reads, leading to him looking slow off the snap, but he still dominated.
JJC28
I thank Beasley and Ray make it to ATL.
JiveAF
I think top two picks are QBs. Jags take a pass rusher. Oakland takes WRWashington takes Orakpos replacement. Jets take God knows who. Chicago takes a pass rusher or DB. It's possible Williams falls to us. Imagine this. Williams in the first. Eli Harold/Diggy/Dupree/Gregory/Orchard (one will fall) in the 2nd. Marpet or best OL available in the 3rd. Best WR/RB/CB in 4th,5th,6th
xskyx
I wouldn't be opposed to a trade up if it doesn't break the bank... I'm also a guy who has said we have too many DTs..

AtlantaFanatic
Completely different types of playersI get that but who do you cut? You go into the season with 4 starting caliber DT's? Soliai, Babs, Hage, Williams.
32wood84white
It's tough to swallow another to interior guy when we need edge rushers but oh the possibility if we get him and Hage reaches his potential. It would almost not matter at all who the outside rushers are then because the damage done on the inside would allow for plenty of sacks on the edge. JJC28
Babs just lost his job if we get Williams you can line him up any where on the line day 1 starter. Then if Hagman picks his game up oh yeh its on.
AtlantaFanatic
The idea of Williams sounds so much more appealing than...235lb pot smoker or 245lb pass rushing specialist. And WAY more appealing than Gurley at
Falcon Ben
I get that but who do you cut? You go into the season with 4 starting caliber DT's? Soliai, Babs, Hage, Williams. You could play Hage at left end. He won't provide pressure off the edge, but he will shut down runs to that side and get occasional pressure. Nino11
Knowing our luck we would get him and he would turn into Aaron Curry 2.

I'd like Hageman and Williams side by side. That would be scary.
Artys Arryn
Him and Shede could be monsters on the inside together. It's a pipe dream but I'd be ecstatic if it happened.
