Not sure if this means the gloves are coming off or what. pic.twitter.com/aPvTfogWi8— Charles Robinson (@CharlesRobinson) April 21, 2015For months, there’s been talk of Adrian Peterson and his agent Ben Dogra insisting on the Minnesota Vikings finding a trade partner for the All-Pro running back. Well, based on the tweet of Yahoo! Sports’ Charles Robinson, it appears Dogra is ready to make a deal happen.Rumors were already going around that there are six teams — the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars, San Diego Chargers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – in the hunt to trade for Peterson. Now it appears the Buccaneers have taken the lead — or are Dogra’s favorite NFL team. The Vikings are rumored to be looking for a first-round pick and a starting cornerback in return for Peterson. The Buccaneers own the No. 1 overall pick, which they wouldn’t give up for a 30-year-old running back with a $12.75 salary in 2015. They also own the No. 34 overall pick at the top of second round, which could be considered a very late first-round pick. Tampa Bay has a few solid cornerbacks they could dangle — Johnthan Banks or Leonard Johnson, maybe?Another option for the Vikings could be taking the Buccaneers’ second-round pick and swapping Peterson for Doug Martin, a talented young running back who has struggled after his rookie season in Tampa Bay’s subpar offensive.Who knows exactly what Dogra’s post meant, but it’s certainly gotten the rumor mill whirling.____Two things. One, you can never tell with all of these items, but it could be the truth. Two, I really hate the idea of playing AP twice a year for the next three years. Tribal Chief
Hey, Falcon Fans want no part of him so may as well play against him the next 3-4 years
rounz
Well I never believed that we were interested in him (at that price), but I guess somebody is.
clownorg
I honestly don't see how the Falcons are rumored to be trade partners for AP.Just can't see us absorbing that cap hit especially with Freeman & Smith still here
Dirtybird56
Of course its the bucs lol. Also don't believe we were ever interested for even a second
Hashbrown3
Please take him TB... waste a freaking high draft pick on this 30+ man. Clearly they won't forfeit this year's first if they want a QB
paulitik
The only time the Vikes have beaten the Falcons since drafting AP, was when he was suspended for the year. I'm not sweating it. Besides, he's been away from the game for a year, and he's got a lot of tread wear before that. Let the Bucs draft a rapist and a child abuser, It's their reputation. Knight of God
Easy to say that when you see its not going to happen...lol. Turns out, most I have spoken to say he can go for as little as a 2nd or 4th and a CB. Not a very high price. This is worrisome for me. Not because he's not going to be here, but because he could end up playing against us.Stop bringing up Tone and Freeman when talking about big time RB's. No one is afraid of this tandem. I think they will be okay at best, but its not worth bringing up all the time. You do better to bring up our WR's or QB's.
FentayeJones
When its all said and done, I bet AP will return to the Vikings with a little more guaranteed money in his contract. All of this leaked information is coming directly from his agent. trubirdfan4life
they wont get that for AP. its negotiations. the will get a 3rd round pick and 13mil in cap space and be happy with it.
Knight of God
This info was leaked directly by his agent so that leads me to believe that they know if they dont get a deal done before the draft, then they lose all leverage. Especially with the large number of running backs that could be drafted this year.Who knows.
DarrellShropshire
Maybe the Falconscare quiet favorites, and the agent is wearing a Bucs hat to drive up the falcons price. Ik Alford isn't IDEAL for this scheme, and getting rid of next years second and/or this years 3rd plus Alford would be hard to beat.

Knight of God
Gurley>Peterson...even though we need defense.I don't disagree. I'm on the fence whether this would be a good move in the first place. Thing is, its good drama for pre draft. My major thing is this. If the Bucs pull this off and have a great RB with a rookie QB, that is something very serious to me. Game changer.I don't buy into, "well he didn't do such and such before." Unless we are going to say the same about players we signed and draft. Its playing too much IMO.

FalconOdense
Yes, and the Bucs traded for Revis and the guard from Patriots, signed big free agents last year and now they have already released them... Still they are drafting number one. A 30 year old rb for a high draft pick is not something to envy.I would give a third at most and no players. etherdome
I hope the Bucs trade for AP. I hope they pay through the nose for him. We might not like playing them this season, but soon, he will be a lead weight around their necks.

In two to three years just add another RB. It doesn't matter they win a SB. It matters they keep us out.

Knight of God
The Buccaneers gave up a 1st round pick for a star player in Darrelle Revis. They have not learned.Bad teams seldom learn. See: Oakland, Cleveland.Hard to say. Did Revis actually play for Lovie?
Wjcorner
No. Granted, it's a new GM and new Head Coach, but it doesn't take a mastermind to realize how terrible this idea is. He's 30 years old, hasn't played in nearly 8 months, already has one ACL tear, is highly expensive, and he kinda got involved in a child abuse scandal.I wouldn't give a 1st round pick for Adrian Peterson. I would be hard pressed to give a 7th round pick for Adrian Peterson. That's just silly

Knight of God
How is it silly? It's essentially the same as signing a 30 year old running back to a mega contract. That's the last position I'd drop money on when it comes to aging veterans. That's completely disregarding the moral implications of bringing him in, as well as being suspended for the entire season. I have faith in Devonta Freeman and Antone Smith. I also have faith in the NFL Draft. Finally, I have faith in avoiding spending big money and essential draft picks for players who probably don't have very many years left. I'll leave that tomfoolery to teams like the Buccaneers and the Redskins. no
