hjerry
Nope, no trade rumor here, so no click bait. I probably wouldn't mind though.Chargers FS Eric Weddle skipped the first day of voluntary workouts Monday.Weddle, 30, wants a contract extension as he enters the final year of a five-year, $40 million deal and is set to earn a $7.5 million salary. "I feel highly, highly disrespected," Weddle said. "... It is what it is, but there is no reason for me to put out any more effort." The Chargers have been trying to reach out to Philip Rivers about an extension and, to this point, have ignored Weddle's requests. Tribal Chief
"but there is no reason for me to put out any more effort."There is no reason ever for a professional athlete to say this.
Mr. Hoopah!
I wanted him, badly, coming out of college at Utah. I didn't realize he was 30 already.

atljbo
LOL...what would you do if we gave a first for AP and a 4th for Bennett?I think we would be nuts to give up a first for AP.... Dude is not 26... He is 30 man... Even if he has 3 awesome years in him.... We need to build towards the now and the future.... I would rather draft gurley and i hate drafting a 1st round RB with a passionI would EASILY give a 4th round pick for Bennett ... Its a mid round pick.... You are not finding Bennett type production in the 4th round

Considering his familiarity with Quinn, he'd be worth more here than anywhere in the league.
FentayeJones
These are just voluntary workouts. Now if they hold out of training camp then thats a different story.

R.U.N.n.G.U.N.2
I think ppl secretly want the real superman AP and Bennett. Our team would suddenly be a contender. Big splash but it could be worth it. I'll take two or three years as the reigning Champs in the nfc.
AtlantaFanatic
Anything but a first for Bennett and I say pull the trigger. Proven pass rush commodity moving into the system he's already had success with....no brainer you use your second rounder on him. You do that and you could consider other moves with that #8 pick. Heavy Hitter
I much rather draft another Utah Utes alumni, Eric Rowe this year.
