Oldskooler
Even if AP would guarantee a Lombardi (because that's worked out so well for the Vikings), what would be the cost? No, I'm not talking about draft picks and/or players. I'm talking about the price of having to cheer for a man that brutally beat a 3 year old boy.I can't link the pics from my phone, so I would appreciate someone doing it for me. But he left almost a dozen open wounds on that boy from his armpit to his knees. I understand that one of his testicles was damaged.I am not opposed to a good sou d whuppin' for punishment. Lord knows I got plenty, from both parents and teachers. And I earned every one of them. But I never was beaten. I was never injured or wounded. I never had tears in my skin and flesh. There is nothing that a 3 year old could have done to even begin to justify such a savage assault. And this was not a "mistake". An honest mistake would be switching him too hard, seeing a wound, and immediately stopping.Instead, Peterson switched him hard enough to leave an open bleeding wound. Then he did it again. Then again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again.Adrian Peterson is a vile and vicious monster. No amount of wins or championships or trophies would make it worth cheering this monster. If we DO trade for him, I will immediately be completely done with the Falcons. I can take losing seasons. I can take having Marion Campbell as our coach because no one else would take the job. I could take the dog-killing. I could take Quitrino's Midnight Ride. But my fandom would never survive acquiring Adrian Peterson.

It was repeated over and over, approximately 12 times.

Oldskooler
I've seen the wounds as well, and you and I clearly have different definitions of "brutally beat."Can you link them? And explain how open, bloody stripes and a damages testicle doesn't meet the definition of "brutal"?

Oldskooler
It should be deleted because it has nothing to do with Atlanta Falcons football.Since we are reported to be one of the teams trying to trade for him, it is ABSOLUTELY relevant to Falcon football. FalconFanSince1969
Why? Are you advocating trading for a child abuser if he would provide more wins?Because the crap doesn't need discussed on a football forum. This post is the reason why. Straight to basically saying he's an advocate of child abuse because he said this should be locked,You showed us why.

Oldskooler
because this ignorance of adults gets old after so many times, that's why.Look. I'm not looking to insult anyone or start some silly war. Most people I talk to in person haven't seen the pics of the child. Until I saw them, I was on AP's side. I support a parent's right to administer a righteous paddling to a child. I initially applauded AP for what I thought was firm-hand parenting.I had no idea until I actually saw the pics.I have no intention or desire to insult you or anyone else. With that in mind, please explain your position: your response.

We get it, you don't advocate child abuse, most of us don't, please let it go.
