Something to talk about besides just this year's draft. Keep in mind that this is purely subjective on his part, but also feel free to input your own choice. I'll only paste his Falcons choice, and you can go to the link to check the rest. wink.png

falconsb_logo.gif Atlanta Falcons: Matt Ryan - 3rd-Overall Pick, 2008
The Falcons don't have a rich draft history, and this came down to Jamal Anderson and Deion Sanders to go with Ryan. However, Sanders played great years in San Francisco and Dallas, while Anderson had a brilliant season but didn't produce the amount of playoff appearances that Ryan has. The greatest stretch of consistent winning in franchise history has come under Ryan. Matty Ice has guided the Falcons to four playoff appearances, and they came insanely close to the Super Bowl in 2012. Ryan has produced victories despite not always having a very good offensive line, running game or defense. It looks very likely that Ryan will go down as the best player in Falcons history.

That's actually kind of sad. He really has no competition. Kind of means we haven't drafted all that well.

I thought that too. I still think that there are a few that are at least worth mentioning though. For instance, he doesn't even make mention of that Falcon that was inducted into the HOF just recently.

You know, most don't really consider Deion a Falcon for some odd reason. How many positions does he have under his belt in the NFL?

Admittedly going of stats only how is Jamal Anderson a better pick compared to Gerald Riggs. Draft position and the 98 SB 2nd place Season?

ATL rushing stats

Riggs 91 games 1587 attempts 6631 yards 48 TDs 4.2 Y/A. averaging 72.9 yards a game

Anderson 88 games 1329 attempts 5336 yards 34 TDs 4.0 Y/A averaging 60.6 yards a game.

Either way its Matt Ryan easily yea

Ryan's accomplishments rate to consecutive winning seasons... And yeah were he was drafted should matter.

1st round picks are supposed to produce.
