If We Do Draft Gurley At #8---

Recommended Posts

--- it will be for one reason and ONLY one reason. To sell PSL's.

Taking ANY rb at #8 is just stupid. It is too easy to find backs in late rounds.

Taking Gurley at #8 would be a decision made by Blank, not Pioli or TD. It would signal Blank giving up on building a team that can actually compete in favor of ticket sales.

There is absolutely no football-logic to throwing away a high first round pick on any rb, let alone one so often injured.

So are you saying we're a worse team with Gurley at RB? I don't want him at #8 either, but its not like he wouldnt help the team..Yall act like we're doomed if we draft Gurley. lol That great "pass rusher" yall want at 8 could fail at the next level just as easily as Todd could. Just sayin..

I really want Scherff if Fowler and Beasley are gone. No need to reach for a project with the 8. Would be another solid piece on our line for many years. I doubt he'll sell many tickets once we're still having 4-7 wins a season. Gurley wouldn't do much with that line we have

Exactly...they are all good though let these ppl tell it. I'm not backing away from my statement whichever one of them dudes come to our team and don't ball yall are going to look stupid af. Then pull a coward move and blame it on TD

I'm not saying we should take gurley, again I'm not saying we should take gurley, but if these pass rushers don't come to our team and ball. Some....no wait....a lot of you are going to look very stupid.

Even if we draft the wrong pass rusher, that would not make picking Gurley the right hindsight decision. It would mean we should have drafted a different pass rusher, or a strong o-lineman, or a d-tackle to clog up the middle.

In no circumstance will drafting Gurley turn out to be the right choice at #8.

This is very true. Wouldn't mind Yeldon or M Davis at 107 though

If We Do Draft Gurley At #8---

Then we got a straight up azz beater of a RB that is going to wear defenses dafk out and then we hit em with some fresh legged Free and Tone see how they like that chit....

If We Do Draft Gurley At #8---

Then Matt Ryan is in hog heaven....he feasts off PA and has one of the NFLs best run games to work with....

If We Do Draft Gurley At #8---

The defense gets more time to rest......

LOL I can not get over people thanking taking the best player in the draft at 8 not worthy of it. Let me ask you this how many LBs or on the team now and D lineman? Or better yet how much money have they spent in the off season on LBs and D lineman. We went form the worst LBs to something that dang shore will work. But if you look at our running game its a joke! Ther are 10D lineman and 10LB on this team right now.

I don't think he is, he may be worth it but time can only tell, but as it stands now he can be had in the 20's, maybe even 2nd round(doubt it though).

While I'm not a fan of taking him at 8 for a variety of reasons, I do think that some on this board are underrating him, probably as a result of some combination of becoming unaccustomed to seeing RBs go this high and do well for some time, and a desire to counteract all the hype.

I really feel that he'll go higher than many here seem to think. I said all along that as long as his medicals checked out, he'd go high.

I doubt that he gets out of the teens, personally.

I can see someone taking him in the teens, I'd say 15+, but not top ten.

Right now we have 20 guys that will battle for our front 7. Our RB we have a 4th rd 2 year guy a guy coming off a broke leg who has never started and 2 special team RB. So lets get real we need a starter FA very possible Johnson would be day 1 starter and that after taking another 3-4-5 rd running back. We need a FB like bad also. we have 1FB thats it.

I shouldn't comment here, but I'll do it anyway. It amazes me that we have 2,312 'draft Todd Gurley' threads already and some of y'all still feel compelled to start a thread with a statement that could easily have been made in any one of them. Is it necessary? I personally don't care much one way or the next, but I'm going to start making them just because it seems to be the thing to do.

SMH.

Man, I think you're really underestimating Freeman... he's gonna be a beast, but that's just my 2 cents.

You realize they've gotten into your head right? You took time out of your day to create another Gurley thread which was the last thing we needed.Score another one for the Gurley fanatics.
