Markus Golden Is Just As Good As His Mizzou Teammate Shane Ray

Recommended Posts

Quick question. Did any of you actually watch any Missouri games last year? Or are you going off of McShay and Kiper? I don't know exactly where he is projected to go, but I know, based on the games I watched, he lived in the offensive backfield.

Lived? Lived? More dropped mail off and kept going. See this is my problem with him...what do u do on 1st and second down? He can't stop the run if his life depended at this point he can't. We get him he is getting the dion Jordan treatment yr 1 u can bet on it

I did. Golden is bad. Really bad. Effort guy with no real moves, no electric aspects, nothing that makes him stick out. I wouldn't even draft him in the seventh personally. He's very much a TD late round pick where they might think he'll be decent on special teams but he won't ever be a good pass rusher.

Stopping the run on 1st and 2nd down? Didnt G-Dawg post earlier referencing Mayock's assertion that Beasley and Ray will initially have problems stopping the run on 1st and 2nd down? Besides, no one is saying draft Golden at #8.

You just described Kroy Bierrman.

You just described Kroy Bierrman.

Kind of, the effort bit at least. Biermann was pretty creative as a pass rusher coming out of college and had really good change of direction, even though he had a really low ceiling. Not the worst rotational piece ever, I can see why we drafted him where we did. Golden probably won't make most teams practice squads imo

Shane Ray Three-cone drill: 7.71 seconds

Markus Golden 3-cone: 7.38 seconds

I guess your using that new math cause last time I checked 7.3 is better then 7.71

That is what he meant. Ray had the disappointing time so people do not like him as much now.

Your math is ok, but your reading comprehension is garbage.

I think everyone is correct here. Ray is better. But it's hard to look at Ray's tape and not notice that Golden was all over the place showing up and disrupting and making plays. He might be a really nice value pickup for a team. To me it's all an educated crap shoot.

my point exactly. The initial post had nothing to do with downing Ray.
