WiscoFalcon
Dezmen Southward has changed his number to #22.That may be another indication to a switch to CB. (Most CB's have numbers in the Twenties) He can be physical at the line, but anyone other than that I'm concerned. WiscoFalcon
So do FS's bro.I know but I am just saying, I think this is more of an indication of a switch to CB.
Tribal Chief
They are gonna work him into the role if that's the plan. He probably has played corner at some points in his life. Most have. Gonna have his ups and downs

DarrellShropshire
How Deone Buchannon played the 3rd S for extra run support, I wouldn't mind trying southward as the 3rd S. Except southward would be an extra CF, instead of helping the run.

Not gonna become anything special sitting on the bench
Captain Insano
I don't think a number change would matter where he plays..I'm sure his number last year wasn't a favorite of his and now that Motta is gone, 22 became available...Motta was 22 right??? PrimitiveJN
He was #12 back in Wisconsin. Most likely he wanted a 2 in his number, so he took #22 which was available.

PrimitiveJN
Ed Reed, one of the best safeties in the league wore #20 his whole career.

GEORGIAfan
Why would star switch to a number in the 40s? I do not think it is looking good for him this season.
DonDaLuvMaker
Starr took South's old 41 too.The NFL quietly passed the Brian Bosworth rule this offseason. It now officially allows LBs to wear numbers 40-49.Those numbers served only as reserve numbers when it came to LBs if 50-59 and 90-99 were taken. YoungHeezy
He was already in the 40's...I know you're a big fan on Starr, could you tell me what it is you saw in him last preseason that leads you to believe he'll be a functional NFL player?
