Obviously I think we all want the Nets to be the one to miss out here, but I think an argument can be made that they're our best matchup as 1st opponent goes. Lopez and Young are their only real consistent threats to score and Lopez just cannot guard Horford, Moose or Antic on the defensive end. Joe Johnson simply isn't going to show up for a full seven games series and at this point neither is Darren Williams.

The Pacers represent our toughest threat I think. With Paul George back in the picture it represents a potential wildcard in our matchup and in recent years that's a tough place to play when that team is on. It's still a matchup I think we'd win but there is a danger of this getting pushed to a 6 game series if things don't fall our way or god forbid even 7.

I think the perfect matchup would be the Celtics. We matchup well against them and we wouldn't be sacrificing draft hierarchy to go against them. However they've played us tough this year forcing us to stage an epic comeback earlier in the year and later putting up their own comeback just before the ASG when the Hawks were on a 4 games in 5 nights stretch on tired legs

At this point the Pacers they won't beat us PG still isn't 100% back he's trying to play catch up in 10 games over the course of a 82 game season.

While our guys are hurt and what not I don't think it matters who we face I'll just saying we play Nets or Celtics it's a 4 game sweep.

If we play the Pacers it could be a 5 1/2 game series so I'm saying opportunity for 6 games.

Bring on the Pacers and that waste of 7 feet in Hibbert. Horford gonna dominate.

I won't be especially upset with any scenario tomorrow. A Pacers series could turn into a grind but ultimately worth it if your looking moving up at least a handful of picks in the draft. Nets meanwhile won't put up much of a fight if we punch em in the mouth game 1, much easier matchup.

But who knows though might be good for us to be knocked around a little bit.

How this is a debate Idk.

One series gets us a lottery pick. One doesn't lol.

Besides, I'd much rather a team wake the hawks the **** up. Brooklyn is not that team.

With all the weird sh^t the universe likes to throw at this team/franchise the past year I'm not sure we should be taking anything or anyone for granted, particularly the way we played Monday.

Which is exactly why I'm taking the guaranteed lottery pick.

No pick, could lose at anytime.

Good pick, could lose anytime.

Option 2 everyday of the week

That's a good point, though at this point I wouldn't be totally shocked and surprised if Silver took our pick digging out the super secret "that's for being racist" clause tongue.png

You had 1 job Pacers. Lol

Well 2 jobs if you count beating the Wizards but eh....that was a tough task. Two grind it out games within 24 hours of each other, with the first leg going double OT and the second on the road, I don't think the Hawks would have done it.

Hopefully the Knicks woke them up. Can't take any opponent for granted, including the Nets.

The only way this season can be considered a success is if we make it to the NBA finals. So I don't care who we play. To be the best we have to beat the best. Give me whomever!
