Kayoh
Absolutely love Hardison & Waller, two of my favorite sleepers.
jwickha2
I would really like this draft. I'm wavering on Ray a little bit but I do love his relentless motor.
djbrough
Really good one. I might have gone a different direction than Hardison (just because we need a MLB) but I see your logic.
atljbo
Absolutely love Hardison & Waller, two of my favorite sleepers.Im a Haridson fan also..... I think he can develop into a good 3 techReally good one. I might have gone a different direction than Hardison (just because we need a MLB) but I see your logic.I thought about MLB But i felt getting a penetrating DT would impact the team more right now... Right now Babs probaby the only true 3 tech that we have.. I remember the seahawks taking Hill and dude produced 6 sacks last year... For the Jags Sen'Derrick Marks produced 8.5 sacks..... Its an important position in this D... Like Coach Quin Pointed out .. In this D They put the 3 tech in the position where he will mainly see 1 on 1's so we need him to win ... I think Hardison can winAlso with MLB .... Durant said we have trained him at MLB some this offseason so far... In our nickle package (which is around 60% of the plays) ... I can see Durant moving to the MLB position and Durant and Reed being our LBs or i can see us playing Willi Mo at LB with Durant (if reed is rushing) and Ish playing SS.We have some unique options... Im interested in seeing what Coach Does tho
KRUNKuno
Solid. We need some linebackers though.Unless you're comfortable with bartu, stupar, etc as depth. We're severely lacking in quality lb depth
Knight of God
That's awesome man. I think Davis would beat Freeman out hands down tho.
Romfal
Really like this even tho Ray isn't my first choice at 8. Could fall like that.
runshoot
Great mock. I like the thought process regarding the 3tech. Draft fixes our biggest needs immediately. I maybe go CB in the 5th instead of RB and then RB in the 7th or UDFA, but really thats such a minor thing it doesnt matter.Love it.
direwolf
Well thought out. Addresses needs and builds up athleticism. Thanks for posting!
MD-FalconFan13
I think that we need to draft a MLB that can maximize the Eric Rowe pick. What made the SEA defense so good is that one of the best safeties in the league (Earl Thomas) is allowed to float around the top of the defense and make plays. They have MLBs that can cover TEs in the short to mid range well. And on the off chance that TEs run up the seams, Thomas is waiting to make a play on the ball. The defense needs to have guys that win against the major problems that offenses in the league can cause. That's not so much on the outside edges from WRs. In today's NFL the major threats come from TEs and Slot WRs. And as it stands we have very few guys that can cover these positions. Vandy
Nice draft. Especially like Rowe and Davis picks, two of my fav players in draft
Ridder Me This
I like all of the selections except Rowe...I'm not as big on him as others...he isn't a ballhawk...I think in Quinn's system, you want a ballhawking FS...I'm not concerned about size at that position...Earl Thomas is 5"11 200lbs...I would keep everything the same, but swap Rowe for Damarious Randall... etherdome
This is probably the best mock that I have seen. You have kept the picks very realistic, which already puts this mock several notches above most attempts. Very well done and informative. You forced me to research some of the late round picks. As a consequence, I learned from your post. I'd like to feel better about drafting Ray, but I may be biased against taking another Mizzou player high in the draft. I would also use our 7th rounder to double dip GT WR's. That sounds crazy but the tactic could pay off down the line. I think that Smelter is a big time talent that will fall deep into this draft due to his ACL injury. I like the idea of taking him in the 7th, putting him on IR and letting him develop his route tree over the course of his rookie season. I just think he will go before the 7th ... 5th or 6th round.... and again... i try to keep my draft as realistic as i can
