They must of saw my post with Brown going in the top ten lol

Dupree and Beckham would be Awesome.

If Shelton and Gregory fall into the 20's, I hope Loomis trades up to get one of them.

He should have the ammo to do so, if he can find a trade partner.

It's not that I don't like it, I just don't see A LOT of those picks happening that way...with Dupree, Gregory and Ray on the board we take the second or third best OL in the draft???

That's what surprised me. You all won't take Gregory, and #8 is too early to take Dupree, and Ray's got bust written all over him. But I have you all taking Scherff if Beasley's gone, and Fowler won't get past Jax.

Even with the Top 3 or 4 taken?

He said he was looking at speed and length most of all at pass rusher in draft

as well as when asked about Gregory, he said that off field issues are case by case, and based on being able to provide support groups

I'm sure even if Beasley and Fowler are gone, we take Gregory (after all, he is no doubt a top three pass rusher in the draft)

But the length and speed things leads me to believe we take Ray if he's there as well (even if some people don't like it)

I'll be surprised if you all take Gregory. If he's there at #8 and you all DO pick him, it bodes well for the Falcons, because it means Artie's keeping his nosey assed opinions to himself, and lettin' the Football guys to make football decisions.

I stopped listening to sportswriters after our last GM nosedived our team into the ground. He's good for explaining legalese since he's a lawyer, but he has no football background whatsoever beyond his contacts list.

Panther fans keep doging Hurney..lol

No Cam

No Luke

No CJ

No TD

No Kali

No Olsen

No Hardy (got him in the 6th round)

No Norman

No Stewart

Most of this team success the last 2 years was built off Hurney's players right??

That's a fine point. he drafted a little too well

8 drafted keepers in 8 years is a poor record any way you spin it. Funny how our current GM is doing much better with the same scouting department personnel. The one trade that worked out for Olsen doesn't outweigh the 2009 and 2010 1st rounders he p!ssed away in poor trades. Finally, it's not our current GM that gave out horrible contracts that have complicated our cap compliance and limited our choices for upgrading the roster.

Contracts get placed at his feet because it was his job. And unless you're Jerry Richardson's secretary, you can't provide proof of Jerry directing Hurney to do anything like that. It's a more likely answer that Hurney spent like a drunken sailor to save his own job since he couldn't build a roster with draft picks.

There's so much debate between Dupree and Gregory.....I have to believe the teams have vetted both of them closely. On paper its Gregory, but will the NFL brass feel the same?

Teams mitigate risk at the top of the draft, then there's Josh in Cincinnati.

I would be ok with that. They both fit what Ryan wants at SOLB. Either will have a chance to play in a rotation and learn behind two solid vets.

It's not that I don't like Dupree. I just don't think you pass on top 5 talent at 13. I would be disappointed if Gregory is on the board and he's not the pick. I realize there's a pretty substantial chance that that is actually what happens, but I'd be disappointed none the less.

People don't get fired when they do what the boss wants. They get fired by NOT doing what the boss wants. The narrative that Richardson meddles that you're clinging to doesn't hold up when faced with the fact JR fired Hurney after Hurney spent all that $$$ that you claim JR forced him to. And if JR has so much love for Smitty, why did he let Gettleman fire him if JR is really calling the shots? Facts are crushing your case and you have nothing to refute them with.
