Julio Is So Much Better Then Dez

I never considered it but Julio is pretty selfish. In game one last year, he caught that screen pass and he saw Byrd getting close but instead of going down at the 10 yard line and giving his team a chance from there, he tried to run it in for a touchdown and got stripped. I mean, he had the first down and they were in at least field goal range if they didn't score a touchdown. He's done that before too; trying to run and score after a catch. The epitome of selfish.

One thing can't be debated.

He actually caught the ball...

So is whether I think Dez is selfish or not.

What is not debatable, is whether he caught the ball...

That was established.

The question isn't whether you think Dez is selfish or not, you said on that play, his actions of trying to do something other than going to the ground was a selfish act. Are we switching it up now? If so, your opinion of Dez as a person is your opinion. What are you saying about his actions on that play? Selfish or not?

I need an explanation.

I don't think it was a selfish play, I think it was a football play in which he fumbled. I think it was a horrible play on his part, but in the NFL you don't catch the ball and drop down.

The difference in this play and Dez's play, is that Julio was up and running (never extended the ball) and had it punched out. Dez was already going to the ground, could have held on, but tried to extend the ball and lost it. I understand wanting to score... I also understand knowing the situation (ie: falling down, not running with possession)
