Dolphins thinking trade into top ten. A few questions:

1) would you trade down to 14?

2) who would be your draft choice for Falcons at 14?

3) what compensation package would you seek from the phone to move down?

OPTIONAL:

1a) post your quick mock reflecting this trade

Why on earth would you draft two safeties that early.

No commentary--my bad...in my situation you're moving Dez to cb...in mock you see that sorry. And moore is 1 jun cut

But note Harris can and has played cb as well. He's a long armed ballhawk

Fins have up their third round pick to the Stains when they traded for Stills. We are not from a second and fourth from them. The only trade I'd take from them would be Dion Jordan and a third next year and I'd take the straight up BPA on our draft board, even if it was another edge rusher. If prefer a safety or receiver at 14, though.

If Beasly, Fowler, and Ray are gone then yeah I think it's a smart plan. If one of these three are there we should draft them and not move down.

I don't have the want for making a 7 round mock (that's what I have you mocker fockers for) but if we did trade down we should get this years first and next years first (maybe throw in a 4-5 round this year too).

Draft a great Safety or WR with the Dolphins 1st this year. Use next years first acquired from Dolphins to get Justin Houston from KC. Draft Gurley in the 2nd if he's there, if he's taken wait and get one of the other good RBs in a later round and draft a good Olinemen in the 2nd.

That's as far as I'll go with my mock.

Barring us just loving Jordan, I see zero motivation for us to drop from the 8 pick to 14 for a third. That's a weak trade on our part. Dion, if we liked him and a third next year is a good trade. Just a third? I'd stay at 8

1. if ray is gone i'd trade back.

2.Brandon Scherff / Lael Collins

3. don't think we would get more than a second from them just going by the trade value chart

1(14). Scherff OG/OT

1(32) Nate Orchard

**trade**

We send the dolphins 2nd and our 4th round pick to the Patriots for the 32nd pick.

2(42) Ali Marpet OC/OG

3. Markus Golden

5. Hayes Pullard

6. Matt Jones

If I have to trade back to 14, I'm going to want more than fair compensation because I don't want to let the Saints pick right ahead of us.

We could definitely get their first and DJ for our first IMO

Dion Jordan has been a disappointment. He sustained a shoulder injury, as a rookie, returned to play, only to get suspended for PED use. As a Dolphin, he has put on a lot of weight (PED's?). He has stated repeatedly that he is a DE, not a LB. Unfortunately, he has not been able to earn the starting role at DE. So, I can not tell whether DJ can play. He is the definition of Enigma.

Here is the question: Can Quinn turn DJ into a pass rushing terror? If the answer is NO, then let's not make this deal.

Yes I would. Then I'd take Gregory. My draft would look like this (I used CBS's big board):

1. Gregory

2. Kendricks/ Anthony

2. Prewitt

3. Marpet (G/T)

4. David Johnson/ Mike Davis

4. Chris Conely

5. Darren Waller (flex TE)

6. Gunter

7. Poutasi (G)

7. Rannell Hall/ DeAndre Smelter

Just did this on first pick in a trade with MIA. I don't like their big board, but it could happen. Gregory was gone @ 6 on their board.

Round 1 Pick 14 (MIA): Alvin Dupree, DE/OLB, Kentucky (A)
Round 2 Pick 10: Eli Harold, OLB, Virginia (A-)
Round 2 Pick 15 (MIA): Cody Prewitt, FS, Ole Miss (B+)
Round 3 Pick 9: Cedric Ogbuehi, OT, Texas A&M (B)
Round 4 Pick 8: Josue Matias, OG, Florida State (B)
Round 4 Pick 15 (MIA): Chris Conley, WR, Georgia (B+)
Round 5 Pick 10: Ramik Wilson, ILB, Georgia (A-)
Round 6 Pick 9: Ladarius Gunter, CB, Miami (Fla.) (A-)
Round 7 Pick 8: Ellis McCarthy, DT, UCLA (B)
Round 7 Pick 32: Rannell Hall, WR, UCF (A+)

Landon could be had later in the first we should trade back some more for an extra third. We need players remember our whole oline is coming back from season ending injuries. Our edge rushers are fa's there respective teams just let go. We lost our slot receiver. Our rb corp needs some beef. Our mlb's are weak and so is our fs position. I'd trade back often for extra picks then trade up using our late round gamble picks to try to get 5 starters in the first 4 rounds.

Your Future Picks:

Alvin Dupree is a great pick at 14 but Eli Harold won't be there in the 2nd round

Cody prewitt is an interesting pick I'm good with but I think that spot in the draft should me be focused on a mlb

I'd go Ali marpet guard instead of the tackle we have Mathews, shraeder, Holmes, and yes baker for tackles

I was looking at miamis pick and the trade chart. First there 2nd round pick is worth 140 more points Han the differences between 8 and 14. The truer value is their 3rd and 4th rounder but they already traded their third to New Orleans so we either get a really great deal picking up their 2nd or we have to trade for future picks like next years 2nd. This would be alright with me since we are most likely 2 years out from real contention again
