DonOfThemBirds
Somebody would have to take his spot. Don't see it happening!!It depends.Have to see what happens in the draft and the Southward situation.I bet Quinn is more than willing to play/start young inexperienced players and rookies on the defense early next season. Can't be any worse than the last 2 seasons. Tuggle'2
I still think Alford is going to be absolutely fine with the addition of a simpler more effective scheme and a pass rush. I see his interceptions going up quite a bit.
McNulty
Add him to the miserable list of corners TD has brought in
zekeyboy1
A lot of holding/pass int. penalties...
JayOzOne
If we take a half-second off of our pass rush, Alford will have eight picks this season and Tru will have fewer than ten targets.
zekeyboy1
"He'll be fine with a pass rush"? What pass rush? lol
DrunkOffFalcohol
Alford will be fine. I still think its laugh out loud funny how people were saying he was going to be better than TRU during OTA's and training camp during their rookie season. After rookie season a lot of the MB members here were saying that they are both great shut down corners. And now people wanna replace rocky after a sophomore slump. Lol one good year and one sub-par year due mostly to the rule changes.

I see his interceptions going up quite a bit.I'm gonna wait 5 games before I judge him in any way this season. If he gets a penalty per game like last season and burned on multiple occasions *if* the pass rusher is upgraded from last year, any criticism he gets has to be deemed acceptable
delaigle
Right NOW, if you put Alford as starting NBwho do you put at RCB?Choices Phillip Adams, Richardo Allen, Jorden Mabin (14PS)even if you roll Alford from RCB to NB just on pass plays whose comes in at RCB then?? I see his interceptions going up quite a bit.I too think Alford will benefit from a new scheme. I also think the new coaches might be able to teach him to take his game up a few notches. Faithful Falcon
I still think Alford is going to be absolutely fine with the addition of a simpler more effective scheme and a pass rush. I see his interceptions going up quite a bit. This!!! People seem to forget that his coverage was not terrible, he just got be on a lot of plays when the QB had time. Which, IMHO was on almost every down. It didn't just start with him. The same thing happens to William Moore, Desmond Trufant, and everyone else on our defense. Upgrading our pass rush will make a lot of players shine. Hopefully, since Gregory smoked, he can fall to us in a later round.
Kaptain Krazy
My opinion is based a lot on having Quinn & Co in charge. My assumption is that Quinn would dump any D player who he didn't think had potential to play a useful role. i expect Alford to improve in his third year and be one of the starting CBs
xiv_T_E_C_O_
I think he'll thrive under Quinn.
CraigSmackDaddy
Alford will be fine. He's probably starting and we'll bring in a vet after June 1st to play nickle.
Vandy
I think Alford gets a bad rap from some fans/ATL media in being compared to Trufant, a true (and rare) shut-down corner...it usually takes a CB 2-3 seasons to figure it out, my guess is RA begins to combine his obvious talent to the speed of the game this year.... FentayeJones
There is not a corner on this roster thats going to unseat Alford. I highly doubt we draft a rookie thats going to unseat him. freebird310
This should be his make or break year....I got a weird feeling he will cut down the dumb PIs and serve us up a boatload of picks, just a gut....Quinn likes physical, he may not be long and lean but he is capable of using his body to move big WRs off their point....
