If the 1st 3 picks in the draft went Winston, Williams Beasley/Folwer and Quinn really wanted either Beasely or Folwer who ever remained how would you feel if TD traded up to pick 4 with just giving up a 3rd round pick where the total points from the value chart being 1625 aand the 4th pick being 1800. I think Oakland would do it because they have trade back for less then value before when Miami traded for from 12 to 3 to draft Dion Jordon a couple years ago and Oakland could still grab a player they may like in either WR (White or Cooper) or if they want to solidify their OL with Scrieff (spelling) OT/OG. So if that trade was made and we got Beasley or Folwer how would you react

I agree

We aint that lucky and nobody dumb enough to simply give away 175 points.

Not unless the GM is named either Dumitroff or Pioli.

2013 nfl draft Oakland Raiders (who have the same GM still) traded Pick 3 (2200 pts) to Miami for pick 12 (1200 pts) and pick 42 (480 pts) 1680 in total. So Oakland is proven to not be to stingy when it comes to the point system so the 175 poiints lost would be nothing to them

How many do you think we'd have if we swapped those 2 players?

how would anyone in the world know. I can easily say 1 and you would disagree. I can easily say none and you would claim Julio was needed for the one they do have. Point is trading up for players doesn't mean your team is gonna have success. Only thing trading up for those 2 guys got was 2 great players

It's a crap shoot. Someone failing in one scheme or under a set of position coaches with the team that drafted him might succeed in a different circumstance. I'm not convinced yet that the talent that Smitty could not develop is not going to play much better under Quinn. So the players that we didn't get in order to trade up for Tru and Julio might have made the team better. We'll never know.

That situation was unique, because a new GM with a woeful roster lacked draft picks due to trade mistakes from the previous regime. It was a one-off deal rather than something they are likely to repeat.
