falconsmania2003
I wanted to run this scenerio by you guys/gals and get your thoughts on this. I was trying to come up with a way to get Beasley (1st) / Gregory (2nd) and Gordon (1st) / Gurley (2nd) and the only thing that I could come up with would be to do the following trade:Atlanta - Trade 8th pickNY Giants - Trade 9th pick and give us 2nd round pick (42 overall)Reasoning: If Beasley is there at 8, if we trade back and pick at 9, then we could still get Beasley at 9 as I think the Giants go for something different. And by picking up an earlier 2nd round pick, I could see Gurley falling to that round. I think Melvin Gordon's draft stock is better than Gurley right now and he would be gone in the 1st round. Plus we would have another pick in the 2nd round (44th overall)Thus giving us an edge rusher and a running back for the future.Your thoughts.GO FALCONS!! SkerFalcon8710
Why would we flop one pick knowing were drafting entirely diff players...
SkerFalcon8710
Just don't see any reason why the giants give us a high 2nd to move one spot. I give this 0 chance of happenin
Lornoth
You can't trade with someone directly behind you, because either they want a player you want, which is bad, or they don't want a player you want, in which case they wouldn't need to trade up. falconsmania2003
To pick up an extra pick.... There was no scenario other than that to get any combination of those 4 players. If we have Beasley or Gregory *and* Gordon or Gurley, that would instantly improve both the offense and the defense. And looking at the draft order, I could see the Giants drafting Gurley in the 2nd if they were ahead of us.Just a thought and wanted to see what others thought about it.GO FALCONS!! clownorg
can't think of one single scenario where this could happen

I was trying to come up with a way to make that happen. It is defiently hard to do getting those caliber of players that close in the draft. GO FALCONS!! Guest King Jigsaw
This is the dumbest thing I've read on the board today. The Giants are going to trade up one spot to take a player we don't want, knowing that we would take Beasley instead of their guy who would still be there at 9? And they're giving away their second round pick to do it? Stop posting draft ideas.
Truth B Told (TRU)
I got a better idea... Stay put and hope Beasley/Flower falls to pick 8 and Stephone Anthony falls to 42.
DonDaLuvMaker
The Giants need some help with their pass rush as well this offseason. What makes you think that NYG wouldn't take Beasley?I could easily see Beasley playing a role similar to how Mathias Kiwanuka did for years on the Giants defense. Guest King Jigsaw
I'm guessing autocorrect?...On topic...That's why proofreading is such an underrated hobby. Your goal on a messageboard is to communicate your thoughts on a common topic or idea, yet some people type with their noses it seems. I'm not perfect and I'm a mobile user as well (which has gotten me pretty handy with HTML tags) but I at least attempt to make sure my posts make sense. I don't say anything important enough that the world can't wait an additional 30 seconds to read it so I can make sure I don't look like an idiot in the process.
