Farmer2
I vaguely remember having a guy on the roster who you knew could get at the QB at anytime. It would be nice to find another one like him.
Farmer2
I still remember being at the bar as the only Falcons fan watching this game as everyone else is watching the Colts and yelling "holy ****, did anyone see what Abe just did to Jake Long?" GEORGIAfan
I miss Abe. He will always be a falcons in my heart. I hope Quinn can find someone like Abe for us. We have really missed the pass rush that he has provided for us.

sdogg
Even if we find another Abe, we still need to find a compliment to him. We never could find Abe's compliment.
JiveAF
I wish we would resign Abe tbh. I think what messed his mind up was leaving ATL in the first place.

falcon82111
Yeah i miss Abe too! I just could not believe it when they released him. Our defense has been terrible since he left. Hopefully they will let him sign a 1-day contract to retire a Falcon. Last I heard was he had some serious health issues with his head and missed most of last season but he deserves to be in the falcon ring of honor. Falc_Fan_Since_Six
Even if we find another Abe, we still need to find a compliment to him. We never could find Abe's compliment. There was once a time when we had Patrick Kearney on one side and Brady Smith on the other but I don't think Quinn's defense is neccesarily geared to have one or two stud pass rushers. From what I've seen of Seatlle, it's a collective effort and comes from more than just one or two guys. Not that having the big time guys would be bad but I just don't think that's how he operates. We never could find Abe's compliment.Actually if I'm not mistaken, Abraham was brought in to be Kerney's compliment, Kerney's got hurt before the season started, we let him go to Seattle the next year and he produced 12 sacks for them...so sad

Of all things a bad toe, IIRC He might even have retired because of it. It was pretty severe for a toe.. Falc_Fan_Since_Six
My best and probably one of the worst Abe memories is watching him absolutely bedevil Jake Delhomme for most of a game. Then he pulled a groin late in the game and we lost him for several games. Edited March 28, 2015 by Falc_Fan_Since_Six

Lornoth
Loved Abe, he was fun to watch every week. It was time for him to go though, as his current state attests. Hopefully this time around we can find more than one person with any hope of getting to the QB.

FalconFanSince1970
Abe is my all time favorite Falcon edge rusher. Yep. Even over Claude and Chuck. Just a down right as beater. Speed, power, swim, rip, bull, spin, forklift, you name it. McKay built a Dline with him, Coleman, Kerney and Grady. With Babineaux and Chauncey in reserve. Dimi will never beat that. Him getting Troffed was one of the biggest Falcon travesties I've ever seen. Shame, shame, shame. Never forget you bro.
4dabirds
Loved Abe. I remember when he was signed here, thinking now that's a good Free Agent Signing. I still can't believe TD replaced him with Osi. The 2 together would have been interesting to see. ******* Stupid on TD's part.
DPal93
All Abe needed was a decent DE on the other side and the line would have been above average

takeitdown
Would love to have a line like the one we almost had with him, Kerney, and Rod "upper body violence" Coleman.3 different guys capable of 10 sacks easily. We'd be a nasty team with that kind of DL.
