gafalcon1
Its unbelievable, really. Seems like everyday, a " get rid of julio jones " thread is made. We NEED player (s) like Julio Jones. Scrubs dont win championships. A lot of fans werent upset when the falcons didnt resign Deion Sanders. Julio is THAT caliber of athlete. He CAN DOMINATE....... Its about SUPERBOWLS......nothing else matters. Ask San Fran and Dallas HOW they both notched a extra Superbowl title onto their resumes. They went and got the best player available that could dominate and change a game. We have seen Julio dominate, its not his fault the falcons didnt have a defense that could carry their weight. Deion Sanders SHOULDVE retired a falcon, never should have let him leave, now you got some folks who want Julio out of here............ITS ABOUT THIS:SHOULDVE NEVER LET HIM LEAVE ATLANTA: Edited March 25, 2015 by atlbenz

atlGM
For me unless your Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, or Payton Manning it can be kinda counter productive to tie up soo much money in a receiving core. You will always have to pay good players if you want to keep them but in our situation i don't think its a have to situation. Given our quaterback and defense i would rather build our running game to an elite level and pay a high priced pass rusher or defensive player over a wide receiver. It's just gonna be difference of opinion thing on this topic either way. Its safe to say this with or without julio we are nothing more than a 4 WIN TEAM RIGHT NOW. So you can't say keeping him or letting him walk will make or break us Edited March 25, 2015 by atlGM

nomak
Explain what has having Julio on the bench helped this team? His history backs up that if signed with a big contract we are going to end up with a high dollar bench warmer.

FentayeJones
Whats crazy is folks cry about not making a splash and signing high price players in free agency and then turn right around and suggest that let our best player and one of our few playmakers walk. They want to overpay for other teams players but dont want to pay their own.Its gonna happen again when its time to pay Tru and Jake. Even without playing full seasons he still is among the top of the WRs in the league. Sounds like the 80/20 rule to me

peterpiper
How about we quit wanting Falcons to trade away their best players when other people quit posting sugar coated pie in the sky dreamland post about how everything is hunky dory in Falcon land. Deal in facts and not emotion. Falcons roster is junk and needs a complete makeover. We need the money to buy a defense and a o-line. Because without a o-line having Julio is WORTHLESS. Without a o-line we mind as well call ourselves the Detroit Falcons. Nowhere near a Lombardi trophy. But hey we got a great receiver. See what I am saying? I want Falcons to win just as bad as anyone on the board if not more. But I deal in fact, reality not dreamland. Call it what it is.
Guest Homer the Brave
I don't think it is so much "get rid of" Julio. With me it is more of "no need to rush to re-sign him". Fact is, he is injury prone. We have this year. If he balls out and stays injury-free, franchise him for 2016 and we have him one more year. Then make a decision in 2017. If he continues his injury-riddled ways, I don't know why you'd want to ink him to a long term high dollar deal.

Madness21
Yes we need a makeover. But anytime you make anything over or rebuild. You don't get rid of your best qualities. You try to enhance them and build around them. HEIST
As for Julio. He is average. I could put Dunta Robinson on him and you wouldn't here a peep from Julio the entire game. Finally a parody account that actually acts like the person they are supposed to be parodying! I'm not going to say you but when u have other ppl on here that say don't pay Julio yet say we should sign a 1st round bust in Morgan, we should resign weather spoon, we should keep Harry Douglas, we should keep William Moore. I have a huge problem with that. Huge.
