falcon82111
I think Qunn has something big up his sleeve and we just need to be patient. I don't know if it is a draft day trade or trading for some player. Am i the only falcon fan that has this feeling. Then again i could be wishful thinking. What are y'alls thoughts? Usualsuspect
No, I think that the front offfice will not move up to take one of the top 3 pass rushers, play it safe and draft some bum that is kinda hot now Dupree, and draft a bunch of other scrubs that will be out of the league in 2 years,.....I could be wrong but not likely
hjerry
The plan is to look for players that fit the idea that we're going for, and to only get them at our price. Basically, we don't really know what our scheme is yet, so they're unlikely to invest big in someone that may not end up being a fit. In summation, if it's a low pick, then maybe, but I don't expect us to trade any high ones, or to trade up. I don't think that they would see any player as being worth it. What are y'alls thoughts? You have this feeling because you think that 7 years of drafting for special teams and free agent classes whose only significant contributions to the team can be found in the dead money column is going to be miraculously undone in one year by the same people who made the mess in the first place, some semantic title shuffling, and a first year head coach. That's why. falconidae
What I'm thinking is that Quinn is going to look really good simply by teaching players fundamentals and by playing round pegs in round holes and square pegs in square holes.I also expect that Shanahan and Ryan are going to work really well together, that the Oline will be healthier this year and the offense will help out the defense much more than in the past 2 years. Much easier to play D with a lead and with an O that can chew up clock.
CrimsonFalcon
I think we are actually waiting on some June 1st cuts to make splashes.

XXVIII-III
Quinn will do no such thing. We are now officially a splashless organization.

maxatlanta
The biggest splashes will come before the 1st season in the new stadium. they need to keep some powder dry for that, build up a little surplus.
Bartkowski
Probably plans to trade Julio for draft picks.
peterpiper
Quinn isn't going to do anything crazy. He is controlled by Falcons front office. That is why he got the job. They hired a coach that would protect them. Front office still has Blank believing it was coaches fault that the last two years have been a nightmare. They blame a coach for not putting players in the right position or coaching other players up. REALLY? Coaching up in the NFL? Sorry you coach up in college not the NFL. In the NFL you get your players used to the scheme you are running and teach them simple things that help them adjust to game speed of NFL. You don't teach them TACKLING techniques. If you are having to do that type of bull you drafted the wrong players. And maybe just maybe players appeared to be in wrong positions because Nolan and Smitty were having to disquise their schemes to over compensate for lack of talent given to them by front office. Bring It
This thread title reminds me of the same words used for a thread last Dec. or Jan. .........on how the Falcons were going to cruise to the SB in Feb. Dreamers.

You absolutely have to coach people up, these people are in the early 20s when they reach the league yet they don't need coached up? Roddy white was awful for years until he was "coached up". Always thought you were a troll, maybe you just genuinely don't know what the **** you are talking about.
