Debunking The Kroy Biermann's 5Th Round Prodigy Myth

Yep

Recommended Posts

While Biermann may have outperformed contemporary 5th rounders, it is important to realize that just because you outperform other 5th rounders does not make you a good player.

If a 7th rounder out performs many other 7th round picks does that make him roster worthy? Nahhhh

He still needs to be good enough to make the team.

Whoa, whoa,

We praise mediocrity around here, I'm going to have to ask you to conform or gtfo.

Yep. Any franchise can be half-azz. It takes real dedication and elite leadership to maintain mediocrity and keep it going year after year after year, decade after decade. Only a tiny minority of NFL clubs have remained at our laughingstock level for a prolonged period, but the Falcons stumble onward, maintaining a level of fail seemingly only other Atlanta pro teams are able to match. blink.png

I was tired of Mcfadden vs Long.Singletary vs Garret was interesting but old.So here comes the tuna.It was like buying a lottery ticket.Dreaming of what could happen. How people would treat you better all the hype.Just like a lottery ticket it was over in a couple of hours. So the lotto didnt work so its back to work. What could possibly go wrong next.Wait hidden the tuna time was the start of the quest for a new gm.So infact we got what I consider good news.New personnel manager, soon hopefully. So within 3 weeks we will have a gm.Probably sooner but they may have to wait until after the season.I predicted mckay would be gone or moved in 3 weeks about 2 days ago.More than a coaching search a whole new era.Blank 2.0.

Everyone freaked when Kroy was resigned but the thing is that nobody even knows if he makes it out of camp yet. He could and should get beat out of a job if he's as bad as some of his detractors here make him out to be. If he makes it out of camp and onto the roster again, I'll have no problem with it because I assume he will have earned it. Quinn certainly doesn't have any loyalties to him as it was suggested that Smith and Nolan did. That all being said, if he does make the team, I don't want to see him starting. At best he's decent rotational depth plus special teams and that's all.

I love when people post something obvious in a cocky manner, with fancy words and nifty little hashtags, as if it's some big revelation.

I gotta say OP....all your thread needs is some posters actually claiming Kroy is a 5th round Prodigy, and you'll have a solid 2 page thread.

I think Kroy could be solid in a Jarrett Johnson type role for a 34 team. Not going to put up eye popping sack numbers but play good run defense and help his team. He was stretched to be a featured defender but was playing very solid ball before the achilles tear in 2013.
