freebird310
Atlanta Hawks forward Mike Scott will be sidelined 4-6 weeks because of the broken big toe on his left foot, Yahoo Sports/FOX Sports NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports. Scott has averaged 7.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 62 games off the bench this season. He suffered the injury in this past Wednesday's loss to the Denver Nuggets. The NBA's regular season ends April 15, meaning Scott could miss at least the start of the postseason. The Hawks, who already have clinched a playoff berth, lead the Eastern Conference with a 51-14 record. Their .785 winning percentage ranks second in the NBA behind the Golden State Warriors (.800). To replace Scott on the roster, Atlanta plans to sign veteran forward Austin Daye to a 10-day contract, according to reports.

Worst possible timing? WTH are you talking about? this is the absolute best possible timing. 4-6 weeks means he will be ready for playoffs. Hawks are in a position to cruise to the #1 seed right now while resting players. Of course no one wants injuries - but it actually happened at a good time if the 4-6 week timetable for return holds true.

You seen what happened to Todd Gurley after not playing 4 games BOOM! ACL Injury Mike Scott is better off in the lineup in real game situations then not on the floor heck we beat LAL, but if he's playing it's probably a more comfortable lead those 7 points are going to be big because sometimes Scott can bail us out just like Baze and Thabo with his defense. falconstwopercentsized
If Scott comes back the same and builds on everything him and Schröder might play themselves some good trades. I'd hate to lose them but...
