Falcons_own_nfc_south
vaughn mcclureAdrian Clayborn will sign a 1-year contract with a max value of $4.5 million, source tells me. Signing bonus unclear.
McNulty
I'd say we're still in the market for Morgan since we're just using Clayborn on a prove it contract

jidady
Okay, that's a good signing then. If he sucks, he's gone, and he has the confidence to bet on himself by playing on a one year deal.
Matt Ryan Tutor
Eh not too bad I guess yeah still think we are going to get morgan.

Falcons_own_nfc_south
It's more than I thought since we didn't give spoon 1 year $4 mil.. Again, it ain't my money... Burn it baby Burn it Baby lol
capologist
Max value probably means heavily incentivized...
Romfal
A Michael Bennett type deal. I like it. Cap hit is probably half that.

Lornoth
Yeah sounds like it could end up being much less than that as well. I can dig it.
Northern_Falcon
I don't think the numbers are bad if they set the contract up right. Pay him a low salary and make him earn a per game bonus for what he plays. Which could total $4.5 Million. Every second year this dude gets injured for the year and its quite the risk. PokerSteve
I have to admit I really wasn't that big on Clayborn, but I was afraid we wouldn't even get him with the way things were going. This is very encouraging and hopefully just the start of making our pass rush respectable.
mrobinson3803
So am I still the only one wondering why we didn't bring back Spoon?Clayborn has been just as injured and now he is possibly making more than Spoon. The Reed contract was bad in my opinion, Spoon matched his productivity in 3 to 4 games. I'm sorry I'm not drinking the Quinnade like some of the others on this board

jeffro2000
Got to be much less than that. I would imagine less than half of that is guaranteed this yr. Hope I am right
dmo_dlo
I don't understand this deal, but we'll have to wait to see how incentive-laden it is.

atljbo
all we can do is waithttp://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12468884/atlanta-falcons-reach-deal-adrian-clayborn?ex_cid=espnapi_publicThe Falcons hosted former Tennessee Titans outside linebacker Derrick Morgan. It is believed that the Falcons gave Morgan a substantial offer, but it didn't keep the former Georgia Tech standout from leaving Atlanta to visit Tampa Bay. He apparently won't be signing with the Buccaneers, either.
