birdz4i
The Atlanta Falcons added some offense on the first day of free agency, agreeing to terms with former St. Louis Rams offensive lineman Mike Person, who enters his fifth NFL season.1. Quinn Connection: Falcons guard Mike Person arrives in Atlanta, reuniting with Dan Quinn after playing the last two seasons for the St. Louis Rams. Quinn and Person were on the same Seattle Seahawks team in 2013, Quinn as the defensive coordinator, Person as an offensive lineman, playing in one game during the club’s Super Bowl-winning season.2. Path to the Falcons: Person has played in 17 NFL games, 16 with the Rams in 2014 and one contest in 2013 with the Seahawks. In addition to his new club and previous stops with the Rams and Seahawks, Person spent time with the Indianapolis Colts and San Francisco 49ers.3. What’s Ahead: A lot has transpired for the Falcons since 2014, Quinn arriving as head coach, along with a new staff, including new offensive line coach Chris Morgan. During Year One in Atlanta, Person will soak up knowledge and plenty of film study with Morgan, assistant offensive line coach Keith Carter and fellow Falcons offensive linemen, driven to make a strong push in 2015 and beyond.4. College Honors: Person started all 11 games at right tackle in his junior year for the Montana State Bobcats, earning First Team All-Big Sky honors. His efforts also included honorable mention all-conference honors, helping the Bobcats lead the Big Sky Conference in most rushing yards and fewest sacks allowed. Such numbers caught the attention of the San Francisco 49ers, his first club in the NFL (2011).5. The Toughness Factor: Quinn has stressed the significance of adding tough, skilled and versatile players to his team's roster. Starting 34-straight games at right tackle for the Bobcats, Person earned the school's most-decorated player honor during the spring, tabbed the program’s Chuck Karnop Award for Toughness and a D’Agostino Family Strength Award for his work in the weight room. Look for the same disciplined approach Person used to get to the NFL to continue under Quinn’s watch in Atlanta.http://www.atlantafalcons.com/news/article-1/Five-Things-About-New-Falcons-G-Mike-Person/4ade5ee0-8371-4357-b3e7-ea79332bb186

NOVAFalconFan
6. He's pretty much the best g*dd*m offensive lineman EVER.7. He's going to maul some people.8. He once said: "Oh, you think Zone Blocking Scheme is your ally, but you merely adopted Zone Blocking. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see Power until I was already a man; by then it was nothing to me but BLINDING!"9. Saul Goodman calls Mike Person when he is in trouble.
