WiscoFalcon
Nick Fairley is not expected to return to Detroit per Rapoport.I know we have some DT's but non like Fairley, why don't we give him a shot?We could make room for him.Thoughts? GleasonForever!
Yes please. We need interior pressure in the worst way. He stops the run and rushes the Passer. Soliai and Jackson are "supposed" to stop the run. Hageman could use a big boy like Nick next to him on passing downs Beasley Fairley Hageman Morgan on third downa . Make it happen TD
WiscoFalcon
We have money to spend, I would endorse this signing.
mashburn*Fibonacci
I like him. but we have to much money tied up in the DT position. therefore I say no. and spend that money else where.
WOR
Jared Odrick just got 5 years for 8.5 million per. I expect Fairley to be rather expensive.

Jesus
Lions are moving to a 3-4 a year after they dominated in a 4-3. That's what happens when you lose someone like Suh.
insight
Not going to happen. TD signed average players to long term lucrative deals at DT. Fairly will not be cheap. Hopefully our DT's can get the job done because there who were rolling with!
slamee101
Nope. Guy is still getting by on his college resume. Never thought he'd be that good as a pro and from what I've seen I think I'm right.Besides, same arguments apply as to why we weren't signing Suh. Not that he's demanding that kind of money but you've got your $ tied up in Soliai and Jackson, high draft pick in Hageman last season, no point in investing serious bread in another DT with other needs that have to be addressed. Knight of God
Fairley isn't that good...maybe when healthy...LOL!!!
PeytonMannings Forehead
Lions are moving to a 3-4 a year after they dominated in a 4-3. That's what happens when you lose someone like Suh.Eh, it's a little more nuanced than that. Austin of course came from Baltimore and I venture to say that's the package he's getting in place in his second year -- which I'm sure the organization had in mind as a plan B in case they lost Suh. And the Ravens, well the press has been calling them a 3-4 for years, but in actuality their defense is closer to a 4-3 in the way it functions just with 3-4 personel and the way they labeled them. mashburn*Fibonacci
Cut Babs, then cut Jackson after June 1stYeah I would do that. because those to cuts would give us space to sign him (like we need it. but just saying it won't be a big hit on us if we signed Fairley to 3 years at 25 million. it would more be after those cuts "like" we signed him for 3 years 3 years 17 million). More only thing is I think Jackson is going to do good with quinn. but babs has the age.
AndySG
I like Fairley. He gets a lot of sacks for a DT. Appreciate he won't be playing with Suh, though.
papachaz
Fairley isn't that good...maybe when healthy...LOL!!!and isn't he known for openly admitting that he takes plays off?no thanks, we don't need that at any position
mashburn*Fibonacci
Fairley isn't that good...maybe when healthy...LOL!!!no one is saying to sign him to a 15+ contract per year. you take what you can, when you can.just saying it won't be a big hit on us if we signed Fairley to 3 years at 25 million. it would more be after those cuts "like" we signed him for 3 years 3 years 17 million
Osiruz
Let's sign every dt that ever existed and ignore other positions.
BankerBird™
Fairley is lazy. He was riding Suh's coattails during his time in Detroit. I don't trust him.
Mr. Hoopah!
Fairley was a real shittgoon his one good season at Auburn. He took so many dirty, blatantly late shots at QB's. I don't want him in a falcons' uniform.
Osiruz
Yea but he's still a dt, he's an f.a, and the masses of tatf must be appeased with getting interior players. Matter of fact let's cut devonta freeman and sign a dt to be a rb.
Ransack
Fairley is about to eat himself out of the NFL. He has no drive and is perfectly happy being fat and lazy. No thanks to signing a guy like that.
I Even Bleed Red
Would LOVE this signing! So it's not gonna happen...
PSSSHHHRRR87
I watch all the Lions games and Fairley shows flashes of greatness, but is lazy and benefited from Suh. So many times he had to be pulled after 2 or 3 downs due to being completely gassed. No thanks for him coming to the Falcons.
