Following the fellow DMVer.

What's going on guys?

My name is Seth and I'm 24 years old. I was born in Belgium (although my parents are originally from Cameroon) and my family moved to Atlanta roughly 15 years ago. We stayed in East Point for a year before moving to Roswell and then Alpharetta (well John's Creek now although I can't stand that name), where I stayed for eight years.

I moved to Maryland about six years ago and started working full time and going to school, and I'm now in my last semester at Bowie State University finishing up my degree in Psychology. After I graduate I plan to go to law school (taking LSAT this month).

I'm a Falcons fan because it's the first NFL team I knew. I wasn't much of a football fan at first (mostly because I didn't really understand the nuances of the game) and I mostly paid attention to soccer and basketball. I also support the Ravens and Redskins (when they're not playing the Falcons).

I am a Christian (non-denominational), I like to draw/graphic design, play guitar/drums, and admittedly a bit of a geek (built a budget rig and I watch anime/read manga, albeit not as much as I used to).

Yeah, I've made sure to pay close attention to the tuition rates of prospective schools and scholarship opportunities to mitigate the financial blow as much as possible. How were the job prospects when you graduated?

Sorry for not getting back to you on this, and cnasty pretty much nailed it on job prospects. They were bad when he and I came out of law school. Law school attendance (as well as bar passage rates) has been going down every year since we came out. Tuition rises across the board at every school in the country every year, combined with a virtually non-existent job market, and less people are choosing to go to law school. A lot of people go to law school because they don't want to grow up yet, or they want their MRS degree, and I think the economy and job market has probably whittled away at some of those folks.

If you know people, it's beyond huge. Connections are more important than any GPA or class ranking. If you don't know any lawyers, you'll have to try and market yourself. I've had a unique experience as young lawyer, I've been practicing a little over 3 years, and I'm on my third job. The first law firm I worked for dissolved unexpectedly several months after I started, and two of the attorneys there started a new firm out of necessity and took me on. I stayed there for a year, and those guys are great, but it just wasn't an ideal situation. A buddy of mine left my current firm and I found out about it immediately, called my now current boss, and was hired shortly thereafter. Coming up on two years here this April, hope to stay here a long, long time. Love the guys I work with, and enjoy the work.

Look for any scholarships you can get. Also, public law schools are A LOT cheaper than private law schools. There are a lot more private law schools than public, so the scarcity and cheaper tuition makes them much more competitive. Shoot me any questions you have in a pm, or I can answer them here.

My name is Aaron. 32 years old. I'm new to this board. I lived in Atlanta from 1990 to 2014 when my wife and I moved to Austin. I grew up playing hockey but became a football fan when I was in high school.

Music is my biggest passion. I'm really into jazz, rock, bluegrass, blues, etc. Not much mainstream stuff (does anybody get the music reference in my screen name? If you do, we would probably get along).

I consider the Falcons my favorite team out of all of the teams I follow/sports I watch since the Thrash Show is no longer. My teams are Falcons, UGa, Thrasher, and the Braves.

Someone normally starts one of these every offseason. I'm off bored and said to **** with it. Anyone that has been here knows how it goes. For the newbs, tell who you are(if you want), where you're from and why you're a Falcon fan or of any other team. Can include other sports as well. I know alot won't post a pic so that's cool. Just keep it respectful. Also tell a little about yourself if you want.

My name is Henry but everyone I know calls me Jr. I live in Lagrange. Became a fan of sports period in 96. Didn't have my dad in my life so sports didn't mean anything to me.

Nfl teams I like are the broncos and Falcons. Falcons>>> when they play each other. Favorite players are Russell Wilson and Adrian Peterson. NBA team has always been the heat but my favorite player is Lebron. Mlb team is the Yankees. Ncaab team is Duke. Ncaaf is Miami.

I'm a family man. Firm believer in family first, **** everything else no matter what it is. I scour and coat airbags for a living for the Milliken company. I'm a simple kinda guy. Don't party, drink or smoke. Just like to have fun with my loved ones. Anything else ya wanna know about me just ask smile.png

Nice family, Ya. Thanks for your introduction. TF

Funny that I still haven't read a post like this:

"My name is Alfred, I'm a troll, and I hate the Falcons. I hate their fans and the city of Atlanta too. I think Matt Ryan sucks (as does any other player who is popular with the fan base). Because they do. The Quinn hiring is bad because we've always made bad choices, so this one has to be bad for that reason. People who disagree with me are worthless homers. When I criticize the team, it's not because I want them to get better, I hope they'll stay bad. I know that I can't be a fan and recognize areas for opportunity.

You all suck."

Still waiting for a 'troll' to introduce himself... huh.png

My name is Tandy - same as my screen name. I live in South Georgia and I've been a Falcon fan since '66. I was actually a Braves fan even before then, my dad is from Wisconsin and was a huge Braves fan even before they moved here in '66. I am a casual to interested Hawks fan - follow them, keep up with the players a little - but not really rabid - but I always cheer for them - regardless. I was even a Flames fan before they moved to Calgary.

But, the Falcons are my real passion. Other than my family, which is and will always come first with me, the Falcons are that close second. I follow them rabidly, win or lose, year after year without faltering. I go to every possible game, home or away, and I try to spread that enthusiasm for the team to my family as well (poor babies).

I have 3 children living, 2 daughters and a son. Between them, I have 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. We raised 8 of our grandchildren for reasons I won't go into here, and they are all extremely close to us. I was in the delivery room for each of my grandchildren's births - and as each of my great-grandchildren joined us as well.

My husband is the love of my life, and my family is everything to me. We are as close as any family can be - and they are my light.

I am an IT director for a South Florida company - and will celebrate my 20th year there in June. I work 2 weeks from home here in South Georgia - and then a week in Ft Lauderdale. I've been doing that since 2004 when we moved back to Georgia from South Florida.

Here is a recent picture of my husband and I with our great grandchildren - all 4 of them, Elias is 4, Meme is 3, Boomba (AvaLynn) is 1 and Leah is 2 months. Below that is a picture of us with 8 of our grandchildren - the ones we raised.

Beautiful grandkids. Simply beautiful.

They exist. But there are a lot of people who get that title unfairly. I think there are a few posters so sensitive to the idiots out there that they accuse anybody of being a troll who thinks differently than they do. This thread is great because we're all real people and (mostly) fans.

This is awesome.

My name is Dan I live in St. Louis mo. Moved here when I was 5 from Indiana where I was born in Indianapolis. Got married in Busch stadium to my amazing wife that puts up w all of my craziness. We have an incredibly smart and adorable 2 year old daughter named Melina, she's my world. (Yes Yadier MOlina has something to do w her name.)

Obviously I'm a huge stl cardinals fan. Falcons and Colts are my 2 fav football teams (falcons>) I started liking football because of the rams tho. The year they lost the Super Bowl to the pats was the first time sports ever affected me emotionally. Nobody in my family cared ab football. After the rams lost I was like ok, this sport is awesome I gotta pick my own favorite team! Fell in love w the falcons at first sight. Vick played a huge role, I thought he was super man.

I just started a career w a medical company. My official title is Post Operative Sales Specialist, so that pretty much tells you what I do. I worked at a restaurant for 4 years before starting this job, which is where I met my wife.

I try to make it to a Falcons game every year. Last year was NO before that was ATL and this upcoming season I'll be heading to Charlotte. Im a proud man because I'm very lucky to be where I am today, both literally and figuratively.

Great thread guys.

My name is Jeremy and I am 33 years old. I live in Arkansas, about a 45 min drive from Memphis, Tennessee. I'm married to a beatiful lady and we have a 3 year old girl.

I was a cop for 5 years, but quit a little over a year ago. I am now a Funeral Director and a Deputy Coroner.

Football is by far my favorite sport. I love watching all NFL teams, but I'm by far a die hard Falcons fan. One of my hobbies is PS4. I play all types of games when I have time. Anybody can add me. xSICKxWITHxITx is my gamer tag.
