Redskins DBs coach Raheem Morris has verbally accepted a job as assistant head coach of the Falcons.

Seahawks DC Dan Quinn will be introduced as the new Falcons head coach following Sunday's Super Bowl. He'll bring along Morris, who played for Quinn at Hofstra in the late 1990s and has head-coaching experience with the Bucs from 2009-11. Morris will coordinate the pass defense while new DC Richard Smith will focus on the run defense.

Broncos LBs coach Richard Smith is reportedly likely to be named defensive coordinator of the Falcons.

Smith, who has been coaching at the NFL level since 1993, will focus on the run defense. He'll be under defensive-minded head coach Dan Quinn and defensive-minded assistant head coach Raheem Morris. Expect Smith to adapt to Quinn's Seattle scheme, meaning plenty of press coverage and not using stud Desmond Trufant in a shadow role.

Tampering maybe? Careful ArtieKornPoneBannerMckayPioliTroff.

We are definitely playing on the line, but I think we have two things working for us: 1st is that we have still not officially give Quinn an offer, even if it is not news that we want to give him the job, and the 2nd being that Pete Carroll hates the current system and believes that coaches should be able to be hired prior to the end of the playoffs, but still able to coach during the playoffs. This leads me to believe that they will not call anything on us, because they agree with the rule being very stupid.

Press coverage? You mean Tru and Alford wont be playing 10 yards off the reciever every play? Say it aint so.
