If you were the league, what would you do? Chances are, it can't be anything in regards to the 2014-5 season since Superbowl is WAY too big and anything done would not be in the best interest of viewership and $$.

Take away draft pick(s) (If so, which?)
Suspend HC for 'x' games?

Suspend QB for 'x' games? (Madden thinks ole' Tom was the one who did it)

Slap on the wrist like usual?

In terms of "cheating" and "unfairness/bad sportsmanship"

Where do you put this/view this?

I would suspend BB. He got a slap on the wrist for Spygate. This would be his second offense.. got to go for the suspension. Can't have coaches constantly thinking they can get away with breaking the rule.

Take away their 1st and 2nd round draft picks.

What will probably actually happen? $8,000 fine, and Goodell gives BB a stern talking to.

Agreed. Goodell is easily the worst commissioner in sports when it comes to the judicial side of things

Apparently, it makes the balls easier to throw and catch with how less it weighs. But since the Colts played with the exact same balls...there really isn't one.

I don't think the Colts played with the same balls. Each team has 12 balls on their sideline. No one noticed until Dqwell Jackson intercepted the ball and immediately noticed the difference. It makes it much easier to grip which means it's easier to throw and harder to fumble.

He is innocent!

Free BiLL!

Media witch hunting.

Colts played with their own balls on O. They sucked.

Refs reviewed the balls and gave the okay.

Free BILL! or fire him so the Falcons can sign him!

This isn't about whether or not it really gave the pats an unfair advantage, it's about the intent. The Pats broke the rules, which are rules and not guidelines, they need to be punished. Especially as repeat offenders, you have to wonder what else have they done. Plus the league doesn't need another scandal damaging the integrity of the game.

Come on... have you watched the post season ever? The flags slow down. The dirty hits increase. All kinds of illegal stuff going on and the NFL does nothing.

He lets not stop with teams still in it. Lets look at tampering. All kinds of people making phone calls already.

Saints let cut players sit in on meetings because they where going to bring him back. Meeting gate.

There is cheating. Its not just abut the fans. Its a lot to do with money. Like vegas and TV deals and SB commercials.

But if you wanna cheat in a game, playoffs is the time to do it. Holding or pass inferance exspecially. How many times do we go nuts at the start of the season watching every other play get flagged? Then get to post season and nothing gets flagged.

I agree that every team likely cheats to some extent, but most of the cheating you mentioned is done on the field. An illegal hit, or lineman continuously holdING until the flags thrown are different from giving your players a competitive advantage by playing with altered footballs, especially in cold and rainy weather conditions. How is this less harmful then taping the opposing teams walk through? I think too many people are focusing on the score of the game, which is this case is irrelevant. Yes they blew them out and might have won regardless, but did they not intend to cheat?

Who had the final say in the balls? The refs did. Each team can inspect the balls as well.

It only became a issue after the game. After the score was bad. Its sounds like damage control and a excuse for why they stunk. Bill is smart and will take any advantage he can get. Brady is smart as well. He sure isnt gonna admit to refs approving it then having them add more air in crappy conditions.

But the NFL refs are at fault the balls ever made it onto the field. The pats just went went with it, like any team would have.

Media is just blowing this up because its Bill and the pats. Biggest 2 cheaters in the NFL in the media eyes are Bill and Sean. Notice how it became deflate gate? Everything after bounty becomes gate. A cheater means tons of hits on web sites and viewers tuning in.

what are you talking about? Spygate was before bountygate...and as I said the balls are inspected 2 hours before kickoff so obviously they did this afterwards. And once again you're focusing on the score, no one's saying the Colts were at a major disadvantage, what I'm saying is that like with Spygate the Pats were breaking the rules once again. As a commish, how do you look past this with another slap on the wrist for BB. Most people are saying there's no sympathy for the Colts, but the Pats did cheat. Ask yourself this honestly, and remember not to harp on the score, if you found out the 9ers under-inflated their own balls back in 2012 giving them an advantage, would you still be saying it wasn't a big deal?
