Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak plans to accept the Broncos' coaching job if it is offered to him, sources told ESPN.

Kubiak is believed to be the top candidate for Denver's coaching vacancy, so it will be up to him and the Broncos to share their football philosophies and reach an agreement when they meet Sunday in Houston.

If a deal is reached, the Broncos are not expected to announce the hire until Tuesday, after Sunday's conference championship games and Monday's Martin Luther King holiday.

And then there was one Us

You think they're waiting for Quinn?

Yes, they definitely want Quinn and have a firm back-channel commitment from his people. We're going to go ahead and announce the signing of Josh McDaniels Monday morning to diffuse some of the butt-hurt that will ensue when people learn Quinn is going to the Broncos. McDaniels will announce Tim Tebow is coming to Atlanta as our back-up QB, and will be getting 10 to 15 snaps per game in McDaniels' updated Wild-Cat offense. Hope that helps.

Truly? Sooo...he pulled a Jim Mora Jr?

Link?

No the Jets for some reason assumed he wanted to go there or they could sway him who knows. It was the Jets pursuing him the only thing I read was Quinn finally said he had no interest in the Jets job. That is the only comment he has made about a HC position

Yes I think Quinn has made it clear what team he wants. That was the reason the Jets did a 180 concerning Quinn

The Jets also didn't officially hire their GM until the day before Bowles was hired.

We had an advantage over other teams because we kept our personnel dept in place, so we could afford to wait without having the franchise miss out on scouting the bowl games, playoffs, etc.
