falconstwopercentsized
Tebow was a helluva leader. That defense didn't start playing like that until tebow started showing them what heart is. Cutler may have had the arm but didn't have half of what tebownhad to lead a team. Luckily matt has that.
Sui_Generis
If McDaniels was our head coach in the NFC Championship game, and we are up 17-0, would he sit on the ball or does he step on the 49ers throat. IHO, if McDaniels was our coach in that game, we are in the Super BowlIf McDaniels was our coach we wouldn't be in the NFC championship game. Guest Mr Plow
I am anti-McDaniels (as is ANYONE with a brain) but I am not a Peep.
FalconFanForLife
I also have a question. What difference would any decision the coach made about "sitting on the ball" make when your defense couldn't stop a girl scout cookie delivery? The common theme of Falcons losses is not a lack of scoring, but inability to stop the opponent from scoring.

Brian billick was the great quarterback whisperer that blew a pick on some clown named Redman and his teams defense won him a Superbowl. Since1990
I agree with this 100% but he is still the guy who drafted Tebow in the first round. And Rex is still the guy who couldn't do anything with him except throw him to the fire for no good reason.Yeah, because Tebow was soooooo great and tore up the NFL AFTER Rex and crew got rid of him!!!! Oh Wait...
Quarterback
That game's on Nolan...he still hasn't figured out how to cover a TE running wide open anywhere, anytime and under any circumstance all over the field!

papachaz
Honestly, at this point the defense can only get better as we add more talent through the draft and FA and younger players gain experience.haven't we been saying exactly this the last few years? Guest Negatorris
Rotfl. We wouldn't have even been in the playoffs with McDaniels as our coach.
Guest Negatorris
I would not mind McDaniels at all. The guy coordinated the most dominant offense in NFL history.I still want Rex more though. It was the most dominant, up until last year. But another thing is that we don't have Tom Brady nor Randy Moss.
408Falcon
It was the most dominant, up until last year. But another thing is that we don't have Tom Brady nor Randy Moss.Nobody does. Does that make him incapable of utilizing good talent?!
nomak
Too bad he wouldn't had had a defense to stop the 49ers.
Falcons&Bulldogs#1Fan
If McDaniel's was our coach we wouldn't have been in the NFC Championship game. McDaniel's is the worst head coaching candidate available even worse than Gase. The only thing McDaniel's is good at is being Belichick's gopher boy and Brady's clipboard holder! falconidae
Find it interesting that Ryan supporters are happy to assume that Ryan learned from his mistakes as a HC and will be a better coach his second time around, but think that McDaniel will be the same exact coach in his second gig.Lean towards Ryan myself, but McDaniels with a solid DC could be fun too. Lots of NFL HCs win super bowls their second time around-Belichick Carroll Dungy Vermeil.
Guest Homer the Brave
I agree with this 100% but he is still the guy who drafted Tebow in the first round.Yeah, that one thing is what sours me on him. It was almost like his ego got in the way of good sense, thinking he could prove to everyone he could mold him into an NFL QB. How did Elway let him get away with that?
