marvinthemartian
With a year to let things settle, I am so glad we didn't sell the farm again to draft Clowney. Had we done that, we would have lost more choices than we did for Julio and we would not have our left tackle for the next ten years. On top of that, he would have missed the season with injuries. Clowney may end up being good but I am glad we did not take the bait on that trade.
Lornoth
Yeah, trading up was never going to be a good idea, even though i did want one of the passrushers at the time.
Beast-N-Da-Sheetz
I never thought TD would make that trade. He doesn't value defense nearly as much as he does offense.
etherdome
I don't have any data to back up this feeling, but it seems that players out on IR for their rookie seasons usually don't pan out to be much. I can think one exception....Gore. But, usually a major injury during a rookie season spells trouble.

He's now considered to be one of the best DB's in the league.

FalconJim
Yeah, I'm glad we laid off Clowney, too. I don't think he'll ever be what a lot of folks thought he would be. Several others I'm glad we didn't try to get too, some of which didn't play an entire rookie season!
capologist
Indeed and great to see you around Marvin
Hocus_Pocus
Especially with a head coaching change imminent. Last thing we want is our new HC to have almost no picks to work with his first year.
UGABOZ
the draft is so hit or miss its also not like we are killing it either
Sun Tzu 7
I just wonder if that force plate thing determined Clowney had a high injury potential...
