...the Falcons win tomorrow, an the Panthers win as well, they will for two consecutive weeks have played what will be back-to-back, win-or-go-home games to make the playoffs; in essence, two consecutive playoff games and the experience therein going into the postseason.

Again I say "if," and while considering all the jokes that come with "if," they do such this will be great experience entering the postseason and the confidence that goes with this just may pay off, at least in round one.

There's something really exciting about tomorrow. Win and you move on; lose and your go home and most assuredly Mike Smith and I would think Thomas Dimitroff are history. Tomorrow is the single most defining moment of this season and I'm expecting possible the most hostile and energy-charged environment since the Falcons beat the Saints in the 1991 wild card game 27-20 in...the Super Dome!

As I said in another thread, I've had tickets to the panthers game for a couple of months now, so I need us to win tomorrow so I'm not sitting through a meaningless game at the dome next week.

That would be a dilemma. Assuming the Saints and Panthers win tomorrow, pull for the Falcons and the Falcons beat the Panthers the Saints are the NFC South Champs. Panthers win and Saints lose the Panthers are NFC South Champs.

Yuck!

Let's just beat the Saints tomorrow so your game a week from tomorrow is for the NFC South Crown...the dome will be rocking!

Very true OP and if you are Smith and co you change what you normally do and play to win decisively. Alot of people are playing and coaching for there jobs these next two weeks!

Honestly right now I don't think it matters I think Blank already has his finger on the trigger and is just letting MS see out the season.

I will be sorry to see him go but the MS experiment has run its course in Atlanta.

Tomorrow is simple. If they play 4 quarters, they can win. If they only play 2 quarters, they will lose.

They'll lose. Team has become too dependent on offense and one WR to compete...

Possibly, but then 4 or 5 straight wins--starting with tomorrow's--could change his mind.

With an injured JJ and Carimi starting for Asomoah, it would be among the top two or three biggest wins of Smith's HC career. He would really have to make some aggressive, creative changes to his schemes, and there aren't a lot of reasons to think that will happen.

They've never really played a full 4 quarters in any game up to this point since Smitty got here. Hence, all the 4th quarter comebacks & nail biters. I don't really expect that to change tomorrow.

Quarterback is one of the best posters here. I see his name and will look even if the title is Wazzooo.

but seriously? "If...." Thats a thread title? Im not saying the post was bad, but can we hold ourselves to some standards here? Use the title to give a little detail.
