NOVAFalconFan
So we're going to cherry pick posting this when he's losing a game? I'll take knowing he's been to THREE STRAIGHT NFCCG's over knowing that the 49ers had a bad game. What a stupid thread.Three straight big games that he lost. NOVAFalconFan
This is the most idiotic thing I've read on here. And we've did hire a coach who never been. We're screaming right at this moment that we want him fired from this organization.Mike TomlinMike McCarthyHarbaugh's brotherPete CarrollAnd we are rightfully screaming for Mike Smith to be fired. Because he can't get to the Super Bowl. Edited November 28, 2014 by NOVAFalconFan
youngbloodz
Mike TomlinMike McCarthyHarbaugh's brotherPete Carrollthey all have lost too. So they wouldn't be any good if going by your theory. Or are they good cause they have actually won 1?
NOVAFalconFan
People on here cherry pick when a player they wanted or used to be here have a good game on prime time too. Soooo. Yes.It's true!

Or are they good cause they have actually won 1?Losing is one thing. Losing big games is a different thing.Have they lost enough to have demonstrated that they no longer could win the Super Bowl? No. At some point their owners will decide they have, and they will be fired. It's the natural way of the NFL. None of them have demonstrated ultimate futility three years in a row, followed by a huge regression by the horse they put all their money on. Only Harbaugh. papachaz
This has nothing to do with him and everything to do with Harbaughoh don't worry, someone on TATF will find a way to bring up their man crush on rex ryan like they think we'd ever hire him to be our HC after what he's done the last few years in NY...oh wait........ Flying Falcon
Carol had never been and then he won it. Other examples.Harbaugh lost in the NFCCG to the Giants on a muffed punt, He lost in Seattle to a team of destiny. And in all honesty, he probably should have lost to us too, if our coaching staff didn't go full Mike Smith after being up 2 TD's. Point is, at least he got there. If you make it to enough important games you will win eventually.Dude, you can't compare Carroll to a lot of other coaches. Carroll is a true gambler. Those kind of coaches don't really exist anymore. Neither in the NCAA or NFL. He either wins big or loses. There is no in-between. Meaning he takes ALOT of risks and doesn't play the game by the numbers. Glanville was a gambler and look at how this board treats him. And Smitty is/was a guy that plays by the numbers and look at how this board treats him. I'm gonna end this on, I don't think you know who you want. And you keep looking for that pot of gold under that rainbow (a Pete Carroll type coach) and us realists will keep looking for realistic coaches (more possible those has been and lost), because we know they have a formula or strategy that has been proven to work. Dharma Initiative
Mike Tomlin Mike McCarthy Harbaugh's brother Pete Carroll And we are rightfully screaming for Mike Smith to be fired. Because he can't get to the Super Bowl. You do realize John Harbaugh lost in the playoffs in his first 3 years. If he was let go you'd say he can't win the big one, hire someone that hasn't been to the playoffs instead. What did he do in year 4? Seahawks are also probably happy they gave Carroll a chance after he fizzled his first time in the NFL
Da_Truth
No one wants Harbaugh except some of the silly fans on this board. Even Smitty could have one a SB by now with all the talent on that team.

Not a compelling argument to make. You're reaching a little too hard for me to argue with. We'll keep Mike Smith, maybe promote Koetter to head coach, or something else that'll appease what you're looking for in a coach
freefall
3 straight NFCCG games and his employer can't wait to get rid if him. How much of a pain do you have to be for people to not overlook due to the success? And before someone said he and the GM can't get along, what about the owner who trumps them both? Why would the owner go with the GM instead of Harbaugh?

vafalconfan
He's the last thing we need. We need a coach like Bowles. Harbaugh has been living off of Nolan and Singletary's draft picks. We 're starting to see the shine come off of Kapernick just like Robert Griffen as DCs figure them out.

Can you tell me how long were they coordinators and where? Now now, don't move the goalposts because you're losing. Is a coordinator the same as a head coach? No.ETA, might as well judge them on their career as a player if you go that route, lol. Edited November 28, 2014 by NOVAFalconFan
