GREAT job TD and Smitty. Those 4 linebackers you drafted sure ******* helped us more than Crowell would've. I don't normally look back on what ifs in the draft but we needed this guy and we kicked the tires on him and could have had him at a steal.... same story as Seantrel Henderson. Bring It 3,049
Yeah, our scheme is 8-19 over the past two seasons. He probably would tell you he wants no part of THAT scheme.
RS91 1,669
****, I fit into our "scheme". Anyone can sit behind Steven Jackson and collect a paycheck.

You do realize that the Browns run a zone blocking scheme and we don't, right? You do realize Crowell - like every other nobody RB that has ever faced us - will fade back into obscurity once he goes back to playing against actual NFL-caliber defenses, right? No, of course you don't. ki46dinah 1,957
Lol, really? Crowell is a nobody, had issues in college, and was passed over by every team in the league...this is a nonstory. And I went to UGA and want to see the guy succeed AND believe TD and Smith should be fired...but COME ON this is reaching. F you, TD!
YoungHeezy 9,259
Crowell ran so soft at UGA. I bet if Miles Austin would've had a great game there would have been threads asking why we didn't sign him and cut Roddy or HD

NateDogg1215 2,178
I we have enough running backs why is this an issue? We can't even get Freeman more touches

FentayeJones 23,697
Non-story..Davonte Freeman is better than Crowell. Its not like he would have gotten many snaps here anyway.
toadfishtom 5,526
Our scheme is the issue ......we can't stop anybody and we can't run on anybody, we are great at calling timeouts tho !
CTann 2,822
Who needs Crowell when you have Antone Smith?! Who well...um sits on the ben...ergh nevermind.(talking pre-Antone injury)
Sui_Generis 3,061
Yes. He doesn't fit the Falcons scheme. In order for a running back to fit their scheme, they must first run the ball.
hjerry 26,551
Everyone's attacking TD, but this is probably more on Koetter, considering the statement.

Who well...um sits on the ben...ergh nevermind.(talking pre-Antone injury) Antone touches the ball 36 times and scores 5 touchdowns. 2 rushing and 3 receiving. Steven Jackson touches the ball 157 times and has 5 rushing touchdowns. Zero receiving touchdowns. When looking at all of our other RB's stats, Antone has the far better touchdown ratio.
