What Would Brady Be Without Belichick?

Recommended Posts

The answer is, most likely, not in the NFL.

People bashing on MR have to realize that he was shaped in his NFL career by a stable coach who got by on fundamentals and sound football, but never had a winning/killer instinct. Smitty might have in the early years, but that is long gone.

We need a coach like Belichick or Payton (ugh) that will keep their foot on the gas the whole time. We need someone to turn Matt into a leader and an aggressive QB, no more of this weak-*** "fundamental" (aka conservative and limp) football.

Get us a coach that will light a fire under this team's *** and Matt Ryan's, and you will see pro-bowls and rings on fingers in the Branch. Not until then.

Edit: People debating the Brady Belichick connection, use the Brees/Payton one, or many of the others. Coaches can make or break QBs.

Cannot argue with any of this.

Brady did get the hottest chick in the world to say yes, nothing against anyone else wife or fav fap.

Here is the reality. BB is known as a defensive genius, but his defense hasn't finished higher than 25th in the league in the last 4 seasons. The Pats record during those 4 seasons is 51-13. The offensive talent during those years has not been extraordinary except for one position. QB.

how many QB's has Belichick drafted since Brady that are either not on the team or out of the NFL? Draft status doesn't matter worth jack ****. Brady would have made it somewhere else, just like Kurt Warner did and other long shots. If you are good enough, eventually you get your shot.

Brady has taken a couple of lower contracts to allow a team to be built around him.

Ryan should try that, especially since he's not close to Brady in talent

Yeah like 10 years into his career.

Please. Matt's contract is the least of our problems. One thing good about Dimitroff is we aren't in any kind of cap **** like our pals in New Orleans.

People seriously need to quit whining about a contract that doesn't effect anythng . We are well under the cap and will be in better spot next year's comsidering Julio and Spoon have devalued their future contracts.

Give it up. It's beyond tired.

And you can give up on the idea that Julio has devalued himself. He will get paid on potential.

I don't think Brady has gotten a contract the size of Ryan's ever in his career

This is all bull spit! To see a good QB with out thier head coach simply see manning without dungy or Montana without Walsh. Coaches bring out the lesser talent a great player plays great period

Did Brees when he didn't have Payton or his OC??

I can see the Peyton Manning point - or Montana, but that is stretching it and those 2 are arguable the best ever. A coach can make or break a QB. Period.
