If We Win The Division How Does It Affect Our Draft?

Let's just say this TERRIBLE division only beats up on each other and we end up winning the division at 6-10....

If we finish second place (at 6-10) we'd have anywhere between the 8th-11th overall draft pick, if we win the division and host a playoff game the lowest possible draft pick we can get would be 21st.

Quite the swing there!

Its a tough one because let's be honest....

We'd either get killed in a playoff game OR if we somehow managed to keep it close we would need to rely on Timeout Smith's clock management.... so that's most likely going to be a loss.

It's either lose to win or win just to lose... on a MUCH bigger stage with a large national audience...

You have to look at it like this, do you think this team can win the SB? no.

The next best thing is getting a high draft pick.

Even a SB loser gets the shortest straw of the draft (SB winner get the Lombardi. And every team would settle for the 32nd pick for a Lombardi)

Should 28 teams tank every year then?

We need to tank

Their is no benefit to winning the division with this team. Any playoff quality team will kill us and we would picky 24th or so in each round and it may give Blank ammo to keep Smith and TD.

Basically if you want long term success for our team you should hope we lose the rest of our games.

Why cry about the draft position. We had the 27th pick when we made a move for JJ. Most think we should have stay....so tell me again what's wrong with drafting in the 20's? LOL...

My point exactly. With a high draft pick we dont have to give away the future for a meaningless season and a mid 20's pick.

You don't have to worry about winning the division, as we WILL lose out the rest of the way. In any case, the Panties are going to win the Division on remaining strength of schedule. Tru dat...

Impossible, Carolina won it last year, no team has won it back to back years in our division...I'll be damned if the panties are the first to do that.
