jlrfalcon
If the Falcons still win the division, would you be willing to give Smith another season? If the Falcons win their last 5 games and win the division, would you be willing to give Smith another season? If the Falcon win the division and maybe got to the NFC Championship, would you be willing to give Smith another season? If the Falcons made it to the Superbowl but then lost would you give Smith another season? If the Falcons finished 8-8 or 9-7 and won the Superbowl would you five Smith another season? Or, do you want Smith gone no matter what? Do you think Smith feels like he is gone and really does not care anymore? Do you think the players might resent it if we fired Smith too quick or after a strong finish?
Tribal Chief
Nope cause by the time this team wins one, if they ever, Mike Smith will be long gone. The ayers might feel the same way we do
apl2g
I want him gone no matter what. He has proven over the years that he gets overwhelmed in pressure moments. Even if any of those things were to happen it probably would be in spite of stupid decisions made by smith
Reginald VelJohnson
I can't even wrap my head around that hypothetical. The closest we came under this regime was Seattle & SF. Both times, we got outplayed in the 2nd half.I have no faith in our coaching at this point, and that's taking the injuries in account. Romfal
playoffs? I don't even have the confidence we win another game. I'd feel pretty confident betting that we lose by 10 next week and 3 TD's the week after that tho, I can tell you that much.
Sun Tzu 7
Only a Superbowl would convince me..... because it would be the only thing strong enough to make me forget the mountainous amount of evidence he needs to go....Clock Management....Tackling....No Defense...Bears Game....2nd half collapsesPlayoff recordCoaching scaredOther DCs become a head coach and their teams have a defense and their defensive personality... actually now that I think about it maybe the Falcons have Coach Timeouts personality and that's been the problem the entire time. Dv_Falcon
yes it would. If we somehow win the Packers, the Cardinals and then the Patriots I don't see how can anyone call Smith a bad coach.

clownorg
Even If Smitty somehow Won the Superbowl & bought me front row tickets on the 50 yardline and had the cheereaders give me a lapdance. I'd still want him fired

Falcon Freddie
Right now, if Coach Smith today exhibited an ability to transform water into wine, it wouldn't change my desire that he go.

Reginald VelJohnson
I had to think about it for a while and contemplate. I had to get into Mike Smith's head.Replace "there's no easy way out" with "there's no easy time out" and this song explains Mike's angst. IronBallsMcGinty
No. It might make me rethink canning Dimitroff along with him, since it would take an enormous amount of roster talent to overcome coaching as pants-shittingly incompetent as Mike Smith's.
