brown bomber
I'm tempted to say draft CB Peters and DE/OLB Orchard 2nd rd. As much as I like Alford he might do better in the slot with Peters and Tru on the outside. Tru needs some help. McClain, Wilson, Arenas all need to go. Just too small. Orchard would be good in the 2nd.
datchrisb1
Kroy Biermann leads our team in sacks with 2.5, we need to double up with the first 2 picks as far as the pass rush. Been saying this for years, get the point of attack straight and all the other positions outside of that will improve on there own.
Clark Kent™
I'm going to disagree with Alford being better in the slot than McClain, Arenas, or Wilson. And i would be absolutely irate if we took another CB in the 1st round after using a 1st and 3rd for Tru two years ago and then a 2nd on Alford. Clark Kent™
If Peters were to fall to the 2nd though...I still would prefer to go another way, but i guess it depends. If we end up picking mid-late in each round and the guy has some insane fall to where he is available near the back part of the 2nd and we also did a good job in free agency taking care of needs I could LIVE with itBut that Tru/Alford deal in the draft cuts me deep. I made a thread right after it happened and have bitched* about it countless times on here.I'm actually not hating our CB's at all. Tru is a beast. Alford had a down year, but i dang sure don't want to throw the towel on him already or i will be even more salty about drafting him in the 2nd. McClain, Smith, Arenas all looked good in preseason. And these dudes have been playing behind one of the worst pass rushes in the league. I just have to imagine them looking even better with a quality front 7 in front of them. I think that he's a 1st round talent with some issues. If we could get him in the 2nd, or even better, the 3rd, that would be a steal. Add him to our current CBs and a pass rush, and we could have a beastly defense.

I think we need too focus on in the trenches, focus on winning at the point of attack and forget about CBs. And I don't see in any way possible that Peters becomes a second round pick coming up this year. Just don't even see how you can even consider that happening. etherdome
In my opinion, off season needs include: Interior OL. I think that the re-tooling of the OL needs to be completed. It is time to acquire Blalock's replacement. We can add a free agent for an immediate fix, or we can draft an eventual replacement. I would go for the draft option. TE. It is clear that Toilolo is not a reliable target for Ryan. He is slow and lumbering and he misses way too many blocks. I don't know how that position stacks up in the draft, but I get the feeling that we may have to sign one in free agency. I suggest Pettigrew. He will not command a lot of money, but he would be an upgrade from Toilolo. RB. I know that we have a RBC situation and that we have underused Antone, but quite a few of this unit will become FA's this off season. S Jax and Rodgers do not offer anything special and should not be retained. Freeman has potential and needs to step into the rotation. We need to draft a young RB that is heftier than Freeman. I would target one such player in the third round. LB. We might re-sign Spoon, but I would not advise it. While he is a decent/good player, he is too injury-prone. For this reason, we need to add two LB's this off season.....one in the draft and another in free agency. The pass rush must improve and I think that a permanent switch to the 3-4 will require that the pass rush come from the LB position. As a surprise, I would also draft a raw QB. Matt Ryan is at his peak right now, if this franchise has to go through a rebuild, we might as well start looking into the deep future.
