Alford Has A Broken Wrist Per Rappoport

Really?? Thought it would take a few months.

I should say it depends how bad, it could range from a fissure to a full on dislocation,, broken bones, how much it hurts when running. I wouldn't think it would be more than 4 weeks. Playing with cast regardless of how long when he comes back. Doubt it would be IR unless its severe and needs surgery.

in 2012 Chris Cook of the Vikings suffered a broken wrist in week 8 and returned to play the final 2 games of the season (7 weeks including the bye)

Shane Vereen had a broken wrist in week 1 last year, came back and played 7 games, so he missed 8 weeks because they put him on IR-return.

CB Ellis Hobbs missed 1 game and played with a cast for most of the year in 2006 with a broken wrist.

So it depends how serious it is. Could be worse than I originally anticipated. Lets hope its just a fracture.

A source tells NFL Network's Ian Rapoport that Falcons CB Robert Alford broke his wrist in Sunday's Week 11 win over the Panthers.

Alford, a 2013 second-rounder that had emerged as the Falcons starting RCB, could be done for the season. He was PFF's No. 89 corner among 112 qualifiers so far this season, a part of a Falcons defense that ranks dead last in passing yards allowed.

Bobby Mac outside leave Wilson at the Nickel for me.

Its a shame Alford is going to be pretty decent for us and go figure we need another injury like we need the plague right now

Yeah, I know Alford has been getting torched a bit, but his arrow is still pointing up. 2nd year in the league, and it was pretty obvious that he had some developing left to do.

Honestly I have no issues with Alford to me even though he has been got at alot lately and he has made mistakes he is still making plays.

I'm still confident going foward if we keep improving whats going on in front of this guy he will be alot better.Even though the above is happening he is still making plays.

He's done for the season. Had the mri done this AM. Fracture will heal on his own. If we host a playoff game in Jan he can possibly come back. Nolan texted him yesterday and asked if he could play with a cast but from my understanding he will be in a brace. Move Wilson to RCB, McClain inside.

Sucks for him but he will be working out with Grimes, Sante and Revis at different points this offseason so he can use this time to look at film and improve on his technique.
