We Are One Game Out In November...

...and for this I am grateful!

From 2008 - 2012 we were often fighting with the Saints and at times the Panthers for the Division lead with a game or two separating the teams all the way until sometimes the last game of the season. So, as ridiculous as this while thing is, record-wise, I am nonetheless grateful--for a week anyway--to have a reprieve from this previous five game miserable losing streak and to have a little hope for some possibilities. It matters not if we were 7-2 today and the Saints 8-1, a game out is a game out...in November with 7 games to go!

Now I am not very optimistic--I'm trying to be a "realist," as many of us like to assert--as I certainly know the many weaknesses our team has, our schedule that awaits us (including yet another **** road game in Carolina next week), but I sure would like to see a little more hope, positivity and most of all, encouragement for our coaches and players as we tackle this seemingly insurmountable task!

Some of the topics on this board after a hard-fought win yesterday are pretty depressing, even to the point of loathing the win as it might possibly keep some jobs or ruin a draft position. Well, remember, we are ONE GAME OUT in our division in November so, for the next six days, I'm going to enjoy it and enjoy the fun, crazy possibilities that go with it. Beats being angry and resentful for the past five weeks!

I ain't predicting or expecting nothing, (just hoping and praying) but, if we beat the Panthers next Sunday and get on a little roll, I'll at least have two good weeks in November with some hope again and this is lights-out better than the the way I've felt the pervious five weeks.

Let's enjoy the moment, shall we?

Hear Hear!

This dmn, lovable group of tallywhackers has sucked me in AGAIN!!! Dare I say I'm even thinking PLAYOFFS one more time!??!

ONE STINKIN' WIN out of ... a blown 21 point lead...a ten point lead in NY... not getting hammered by Teddy freakin Bridgewater... and we would be in first place with the chance to run away with the division next week!

Bleedin' Black and Red, man!

recap: we have beaten the saints (who suck)....and the bucs twice...(who suck)....we have lost every other game, including a loss to the bears, at home, in blowout fashion...and the bears suck. we suck. a lot. no amount of encouragement is going to change that.

Everyone knows the facts. We get it! Still, I'm just choosing to enjoy the possibilities as presented. Others can choose otherwise.

There's an old saying: "when you're going through ****, keep walking," meaning, keep putting one foot in front of the other until you come out of the fire because to stand in **** is to burn up. I'm walking.

Oline stays healthy, Falcons are 6-2. 5-3 right now.

If the same 5 start on the Oline next week, it will be the first time all year that the same 5 players have taken the field for 3 weeks in a row. Olines need time to gel, they haven't had that yet. This Oline could be much better second half of the year.

If the Oline can protect Ryan and open some holes for the RBs, this team can simply outscore the teams left on their schedule. D would also look better.

For example, Falcons got the ball with 4 minutes left in the first half Sunday, if they had been able to eat up the clock and kick a FG, they go into halftime w/ a 13-3 lead.

i mean, thats nice and all, but im just a fan. i dont have an impact on the game one way or another. so it really doesnt matter what i say or do. so that being said, im gonna complain about everything i can complain about until the mock draft threads get going. maybe the head coaching/GM search threads too

what games would the O-Line have won us? we would still be awful because of our defense, Qb/WR play, lack of a running game, coaching mistakes, etc...we just arent good

Minn game for one- Falcons had a lead with Toilolo at RT, Chicago game because the Falcons would have had time to let routes develop. Detroit game, giants game- both games are won with one sustained drive in the second half.

Are you a politician, or Sybil?

Thread started by you yesterday:

So proud of this team. They showed so much heart out there today gutting out a tough road win against an underrated team. Never been more proud to be a Falcons fan. This team is definitely talented enough. The coaching has turned a corner....Super Bowl, here we come!!

LMAO, take your meds.

bears and vikings wouldve been lost anyway. you can maybe argue the lions game, but it sure looked like we were destined to lose that one. the giants...no. we looked awful. brought back nightmares from that playoff game
