TrufantIsland
What is the future of our TE position. I don't see Toilolo becoming anything close too an average pass catcher? Gresham is a FA next yer=
trubirdfan4life
toilolo has shown that he is a shaky pass receiver...even when he catches the ball, he will fumble....I think he will get better as he continues to get stronger...he won't ever be a game changing pass catching TE, but he is ok. another offseason of training and growing and film study will make him better....I say hold on to him and build the defense and Oline...the TE position isn't losing games right now
Desert_Falcon
And Jermaine Gresham is what? Da future?
Coach_Petrino
Having seen Toilolo play, I'll go with the "OR." Unless we're just blocking. Toilolo is a good blocker.
freebird310
We need to draft a seam splitter maybe 3rd round or so to pair with him.
Duff_Man
Once he gets consistency, he'll be OK. Still needs time.
AndySG
I would take Gresham. He's a decent age and an upgrade. Doubt he would cost a fortune. What have we got to lose?
Guest Negatorris
Toilolo is a decent #2, but he will never be a feature TE that we need. We need to get a real receiving threat in the draft or FA. Julius Thomas might be available if Denver can't afford him. He will probably be cheaper than Julio with just as much or more production. The TE from Ole Miss is intriguing as well if he declares.
TrufantIsland
To me, it depends on the money - would rather have an Super Mega Ultra Radical Uber Bestest Ever! pass rusher and great linebacker - than two mediocre ones and then Gresham
DoYouSeeWhatHappensLarry
Totally fine drafting a more dynamic TE this year. Toilolo is a good TE2.I would not be fine with signing a mediocre player like Jermaine Gresham. Unless he was cheap. Then maybe.
TrufantIsland
Jordan Cameron is also FA, but browns have a lot of money they could spend on him.. Same goes for Julius Thomas, but he's not going anywhere.Othewise, Tamme, Housley, Clay and kendricks would be decent fits. I don't t think we should use a draft pick on a TE. We have more urgent concerns on both lines and in the defensive backfield.
hjerry
While do people keep bringing up Gresham as if he's good? He's an inconsistent blocker, and barely better pass catcher than Toilolo. At least Toilolo has age on his side to improve.
AndySG
Gresham is only 26!
EZfalcons
I'd say draft one there should be a few good ones this year. I don't want us to overpay for gresham.
FalconJim
What is the future of our TE position. I don't see Toilolo becoming anything close too an average pass catcher?Gresham is a FA next yer= "Bear" Pascoe, baby!!! Yeah, that's the ticket --- Or, we could just get Tony G. to come and help Toilolo progress as a TE. As far as Gresham goes, not a big fan ---- he'd have to be cheap, and I'm talking vet minimum... Guest Negatorris
There's a reason the Bengals went out and spent a high draft pick on a TE when they still had Gresham...
ssippifalcon
Anyone know when ole boy engram out of ole miss is draft eligible? Theres a player id like on this team
4LoveoftheGame
I wish we had gone after Owen Daniels for this season, he is having a good year as a Raven.I also like Jacob Tamme, little used in Denver.
bertrain7
Toilolo for at least next year, too many other needs over TE, he's shown he can get to the open spot just needs to work on his hands, he's a decent blocker to boot. In my opinion, OLB, DE, LG and RT are much higher needs and its hard to replace even that many more starters. i was hoping Lamar Holmes would shine and while he at times showed real promise i dont think he's a player capable of recovering from that Injury and come back and be starter material, Our Linebackers and D-Line Edge guys speak for emselves and Blalock was consistanlty average throughout his career and now is consistantly below average in my opinion.
