Grrrillapmpn Inc.®
So I was watching the first half while chain smoking marijuana blunts, and not unlike myself the falcons were rolling. And even tho we were putting up points easy, something wasn't right. I wasn't excited, I wasn't happy that we finally looked competent, and I wasn't jumping up and down at every score like normal. That's when it hit me... I wasn't excited because somehow, up 21 to 0, I had no doubt in my mind that we would lose. That has never happened to me before. Sure I have gone into games expecting less than desirable results, but there was always at least a tiny sliver of hope.So we are up 21-0, I'm high out my mind and start to get sleepy, Alford intercepts the ball and smitty decides to display his v*gina. It was at this point i did something i have never done before...I turned the game off.So i knock out with the birds up 21-0 and fully expect to wake up in the middle of the one o'clock games for the ticker to show me that we somehow snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.Unfortunately I wasn't as tired as I thought, I wake up just in time to see the holding penalty followed by the Julio drop. **** you Atlanta Falcons. So, up 21-0 going into the half....that's when I knew it was over. Tribal Chief
Halftime. Text my friends mom and told her I smelled the conservative play coming. Normally when they go conservative, they lose
CTann
I knew the game was over as soon as the team took the field. I knew the season was over during the 3rd quarter of the Vikings game.

Peyton
Honestly at the end I didn't care if the Falcons won or lost. The performance in the second half was so incredibly disgusting, it didn't matter to me one bit if Prater made that FG or not.
Dirtybird56
Game was fun as helI at first. Woke up ate some oatmeal and got in a nice wake n bake. Was chiefing the entire first half listening to some music while its early on a SundaySh*t was great. Soon as I stopped smoking we started sucking and I knew it was a "here we go again..." situation
Lornoth
After the lions put up 10 points, i had a feeling we'd let them back into the game. We still had the 11 point lead but i could feel the palpable momentum vanishing from us.
Godzilla1985
I knew after I saw Ryan get sacked on the first drive of the 3rd quarter it was over and turned the game off.

xiv_T_E_C_O_
The Cincy game pretty much sealed my thoughts about the season, as for last week...I had hope up to the end but most of it got taken out by that hideous interception. DoYouSeeWhatHappensLarry
I became concerned when we sat on the ball at half. I texted my fantasy league friends "Now they'll fall apart" immediately after the 3rd and 25 play. Then I called pretty much everything 15 minutes before it happened for the rest of the day.So I'd say the 3rd and 25 TD is when I knew it was over. Cbaggers
When Detroit missed the 2 point conversion. If they'd tied it up I knew we'd at least be aggressive and try to move downfield for a game winning field goal.Otherwise we'd give them the ball back and our D would fail to hold them. We can only win if we play for the last shot.

I think if he kept the rhythm rolling then we would have won, but at that moment I knew Smith had just sucked the passion his team was displaying for the first time in weeks. Karst41
So, up 21-0 going into the half....that's when I knew it was over.Yeah, pretty much so.For me it was if the Falcons fail to score in the 3rd, Smitty's career with Atlanta would be on the line.If we somehow unthinkably fail to score in the second half we would lose the game andSmitty would be fired Monday Morning.Today is Tuesday, Smitty is Still Head Coach, and that F'kn Arthur Blank still owns thisPOS excuse of an NFL Team. Please move LA! we can get an expansion team in a few years! Culain_04
At no point, even up 21-0 did i believe the falcons had a chance to win this game. And as soon as the Lions kicked the field goal, I said well another loss, cut the TV off and did something else. Karst41
So I'd say the 3rd and 25 TD is when I knew it was over.Good Grief!Who choked the word "Game" out of football with this team? This team has no competitive attitude.Like Roddy said "we have the pedigree"That very attitude has spread through the team in the worst way. lee sunset
Friend of mine who is a Lions fan texted me at halftime: "I am not digging this game so far."My reply: "Ha! Don't worry, Falcons forget the game has 4 quarters."And then finally: "Like I told you." Edited October 28, 2014 by lee sunset

The performance in the second half was so incredibly disgusting, it didn't matter to me one bit if Prater made that FG or not.Exactly how I felt. We honestly didn't deserve to win after that second half performance. We did everything we possibly could to lose that game.

Bluedawg 1
When they dropped the attack mode at end of first half ! Ryan looked upset going to locker and entire team deflated then and there! Smith sucked the life out of them.
toadfishtom
Seriously I had hope for this season, because that's just how I am, but this is back to the same stuff as last year only worse. The team has assumed the personality of Mike Smith, timidly trying to play, confused and weak , I knew this game was lost before it started
GeorgiaFalconFan
Halftime. Text my friends mom and told her I smelled the conservative play coming. Normally when they go conservative, they loseSame thing for me. I knew given Mike Smith's history of getting a lead and trying to play it safe would end up costing the Falcons the game.I guess Mike Smith looks at things as though "If you get a lead you need to TRY AND HOLD ON TO IT", I don't look at it like that, I look at it as "If you get a lead YOU PUT THEM AWAY".If it would have been just one particular position for the Falcons getting beat I guess you consider it a player breakdown, but considering the Falcons team broke down in most all areas on the field I see that as a head coach problem. Not telling anyone something they don't already know.
