Bummer...

I came into the ER thinking I was possibly passing a kidney stone. Welp, apparently I already did and it somehow turned into a major infection in both of my kidneys.

Ironically I have been on the proper antibiotics for a while for my foot problems. Most of yall know about my damn foot...

The problem is while being on the correct antibiotics and I still developed the infection worried the doctor. Basically means the infection has become resistant.

Anywho, wish me some luck. I will be here for at least a week trying to get it under control with some hard core IV stuff. That doesn't work doc said "possibly something more drastic".

Just a reminder to yall that there is more to life than football. I know it looks grim now, but remember it's only a game and try and keep that in perspective.

Go Falcons!!

Go My AFMB Family!

Figured I'd post one here too. Fot my RC peeps! Wish me luck you PsOS! :mmmhmm:

Get well soon, kidney infections are no joke!

For people passing kidney stones, the urine becomes stagnant and since you can't piss it out, bacteria can end up sitting there. Leads to infections (pyelonephritis) from e. coli, proteus mirabilis, or klebsiella most of the time.

dear titty,

i admire your resolve. get well asap! and hey, aim for a sponge bath!

Agreed. married or not. being in the hospital means enjoy your spa with some nurse and a sponge. H3ll i goto the hospital for the flu and ask about a sponge bath. If im gonna pay $500.00 for the visit, im atleast get my bath out of it.

Dont let them send the only 1 guy nurse in the entire hospital in either. Tell them you didnt let some guy put a finger up your butt to check your prostate and one will not ruining your day at the spa. One time i even got 2 nurses. I was in CCU with some serious swag. I thought i just got elected King. They asked in that sweet voice "do you want your wife in here?" I was like "**** no!" I can do that at home any night.

They be like "do you feel clean yet?" I`ll be like "nope i think you missed a few spot" ;)

You forget all about you pain.

Your drugged up in the hospital. Enjoy it man. Might as well have fun with it.

Get well soon, Tugs! My hubby has kidney stones and I've seen him in almost "giving birth" pain. (It was a big raggedy ole thing). You'll be getting the delux, thru the arm to the kidneys type antibiotics now, so you should be back in our usual mix soon. And definitely, sponge bath. Can't go getting that IV setup wet! (Hope ya got some PJs to wear so you won't be mooning everyone!)

Tuggle, hope your feeling better!! :-)

Yeah I am starting to. The super strong IV antibiotics are working. My white cell count is normalizing. Still feel like I got jumped and kicked in the kidneys over and over. The cute nurses and dilaudid drip certainly help though!

Two and a half weeks ago my Sous Chef texted me that he had a fever and felt like crap (but he could come in if I needed him!??)... Of course I told him to stay home and get better. Two days later I texted to see how he was feeling; his wife texted back..."He's still in ICU and not getting out anytime soon!" I was like, "ICU!!?? WTF??" Turns out he had an infection that went to his kidneys and almost shut them down. He ended up needing surgery to clean the infection out enough to allow the antibiotics to work... :(

He's still recovering... Get well soon, Tuggs... that's a shytestorm right there...
