Despite the teams record and another collapse looming for yet another

Atlanta sports team. I'm excited for a few reasons.

A 9:30 am kickoff... Which means my wife wont b!tch at me for watching a football game

in the middle of the only day off from work I get.

Also the first time in history this has happened. {wife not b!tching and 9:30 kickoff}

Also excited to see who a majority of the London fans will support.

My money is on the birds.

Third, before last year, the falcons were a team that traveled well...

Hopefully no jet lag and we get back on a winning track.

What was the #1 offense in the league going against the current #1 defense in the league

and the fact that for some reason we've always had the Lions number, should make for an interesting

{win or lose by the Falcons} game.

London wants an NFL team. I'm thinking the Jags. Will the game atmosphere be electric and the brits show us that they can support an NFL franchise? I think so...

and last but not least...I now have an excuse as to why I'm p!$$ drunk by noon on a sunday. and my wife not b!tching!!!

Go Birds!!!!

If you find your wife bitching so much - maybe you two should work on your marriage instead of you ignoring her to watch football?

My wife plays fantasy (and wins) against me and watches more games than I do (she watches other teams, I usually don't). Seriously - try talking to her about.

Sounds like y'all married to the wrong gals

For real... shoulda known you were marrying a person like that in the first place lol... or at least try to work on it instead of going "my wife ****** all the time blah blah"

THIS, ARE SOME WOMEN ONLY HAPPY WHEN THEY ARE MISERABLE AND MAD THUS MAKING OTHERS FEEL THE SAME WAY??

ASK YOUR WIVES, I ASKED MINE. WOW DID I GET THE ANSWER!

I've found a pretty startling correlation between guys who act overly "manly" and having issues with their wives... might be these guys really want a nice, caring husband instead ;)

Nah I love my wife and she loves me. As a matter of fact she watched that falcons lions game a few years back when Suh almost broke Matt Ryan's ankle ......she became totally engrossed in the game and I had never seen her like that since. Our arrangement is this.....you watch football then you and me watch vampire diaries together afterwards. Which I reluctantly agreed to. Until I realized how hot some of the chicks are on that show. Not a bad agreement. At least she would watch the dawgs with me.

Well a bit of advice to all the married Falcons Fans whose wives do not share their passion yet, be patient with them, and you may be surprised, Thirty six years ago when we first married my wife had no clue at all what football was about. She was raised in a family where even the male members had no interest in football; whereas, I not only played football, but was an avid fan since early childhood. She didn't care if I watched football, she only got slightly irritated that I watched it ALL DAY on Sundays, She also could not understand why I HAD TO YELL AT THE GAME!

I don't exactly recall how or when it happened, but like in all long-term marriages you eventually start to take on each other's traits and habits. She started asking the occasional question about a game, or why I was yelling, or who won, or why the guy in stripes had a yellow handkerchief lying on the ground. Eventually she started watching Falcons games with me, and then became a fan. She is now, not only a die-hard Falcons fan, but an extremely knowledgeable fan of football in general. Her family is actually shocked at her level of expertise. Our entire family now enjoys Falcons football on Sunday as a full family and friends affair. Arthur Blank would pay for my season tickets if he knew how many people I have converted to die-hard Falcons' fans over the years.

But like I said, you tend to adopt your mate's habits in a long-term marriage, so I now find myself watching romance movies with her, and murder mysteries as well. I even find I enjoy them, and I ain't no damm liberal (liberals are good too: they keep my fascist tendencies in check).

I am happy we have football fans in England, but am totally opposed to a franchise in London. The logistics of travel for the teams involved is simply too much of a burden to place on the players, and it makes no sense to have one there while LA is still without one.

you're kidding right? its not like the Lion is on the English coat of arms or anything or that their National Football team is nicknamed the 3 Lions, or their Rugby team is nicknamed the Lions...I'm pretty sure we will be the away team, unless we somehow have a big fan base in europe. Either way, there will be noise for both teams most likely.
