Kickalicious visits the Lions in London

Kickalicious is back with the Lions. But only for a visit, to the chagrin of some Lions fans.

Havard Rugland, the Norwegian kicker whose

made him an Internet celebrity and got him a spot on Detroit’s preseason roster last year, stopped by the team’s practice today in London, according to Josh Katzenstein of the Detroit News.

The Lions have shown no interest in signing Rugland, even though their kicking situation has been appalling this year. Detroit is already on its third kicker of the season, and although the current kicker, Matt Prater, is the best of the three, that’s not saying much: Prater is 2-for-4 this season, and one of the two he made was a 21-yarder that came courtesy of a fortunate bounce off the upright. Rugland went 3-for-3 in the preseason last year, with a long of 50 yards.

Rugland visited with Prater, punter Sam Martin and special teams coach John Bonamego. It appears that it was just a visit, and there’s no chance of Rugland taking Prater’s job. Although perhaps if Prater misses a couple of kicks on Sunday against the Falcons, Bonamego will consider bringing Rugland back to Detroit with him.

Kickalicious... too bad our D wont get any stops. Kickalicious has a scary nickname. This game wont help his lkegacy at all since the lions wont even need a kicker.

Y'all were screwed anyway. The Lions have the best Dline in the league.

The Guys in the Wild West both Denver and Seattle make Detroits Pass Rushers and Run D look like Ours....

Its not even Close

they are still good enough to Curb Stomp our O Line tho lol

they have also played the Giants, Vikings, Panthers, Jets and Saints lol

now they get the Falcons

so those Numbers will keep lying for another week anyway lol

You still have to give them credit were credit is due tho.

Regardless tho, it will be a struggle for y'all with the way y'all talk about the Falcons Oline

no doubt about that

and hey

the Online was Playing Great

if they could have stayed healthy, with the D starting to somewhat come around now... South would be Ours for sure ....

but no team can lose 6 starters across the O Line and deal with any NFL D, Much less a decent one....

and its not like we were the 92 Cowboys with those 6 Starters lol....

I say 6, was it 6 ???

M Johnson, S Bakers, L Holmes, J Hawley, P Konz .... so 5

with Matthews and Blaylock also missing a couple of Games

Both still banged up, but at least they are not on IR ..... yet lol

but yea , I agree

at this Point even Saints D may hold us to 10 pts lol

I'm impressed the Falcons patchwork line hasn't completely self destructed

If nothing else those guys deserve a A for effort. From the first time they strapped up as starters they have did great. With very little prep and no rotational help.

If nothing else they deserve some respect for fighting the good fight. Until the last breath even if that does come in the 4th Q instead of the end of the game.

They impressed the crap out of me. I mean it is what it is. They are just thrown in there and tried to patch a sinking ship. Hopefully its valuable reps that will only make them better in the long run.
